Chapter 15

Serenas POV

After I left Sophias I went back to the safe house and got hammered. I didn't want to think about her but my mind refused me any peace. 

It was currently Friday morning and Gemma told us we could go back to school today.....joy. The last thing I wanted to do was see Sophia. I was still pissed at what she had said. I mean I know we don't actually know each other that well but it hurt knowing that's what she really thought about me. I was forced out of my wallowing when I heard Carmen come trudging down the stairs. We definitely drank too much last night. 

"Well aren't you two just rays of sunshine," Gemma said as she handed us both coffee to go. I smiled while rolling my eyes and kissing her on the cheek. 

"I'll see you later, don't miss me too much," I said as we headed out. 

"Bye my loves, stay out of trouble" she shouted as the door closed behind us. 

The ride to school was silent. Carmen knew I was in a bit of a mood and we both felt like shit. When we reached the parking lot and parked in my usual spot, Carmen grabbed my hand. 

"You good S?" she asked looking at me with those deep chocolate eyes. 

I gave her a faint smile not having the strength for much more.

"Just in a mood babe, I'll get over it" she smirked and exited the car.

"So this wouldn't have anything to do with a certain sexy, blue-eyed teacher?" 

I shoved her and rolled my eyes.

"Honestly carmen she's the last person I want to see right now so let's just get this over with."

We walked down the halls with people greeting us as they usually do. I was starting to get more and more annoyed as we got closer to homeroom. 

Just as we were approaching the door I saw Julianna standing in front of it. "Oh god, what the fuck does she want" I groaned as we got closer. 

Carmen gave me a sympathetic look and headed into class to meet Andre. I stopped in front of the caramel-skinned girl.  

"What do you want Jules I'm in no mood today," I said as I watched Julianna's eyes take me in. 

"Aww my poor baby," she said sarcastically as she stepped closer, "I bet I can help with that" she winked and the grin on her face grew. 

Usually, I entertained Julianna because to be honest, she was hot and she was a good fuck. Today however I didn't even have the energy for that. 

Then the bell rang and I silently cursed myself for being late even though I was standing at the door. I did NOT want to draw more attention to myself. 

"Great now I'm late" the annoyance in my tone very evident.

Julianna just laughed, "since when do you care about that"

I just rolled my eyes at the brunette in front of me and walked into homeroom. Everyone was already seated and as soon as I looked in the direction of Sophia I instantly regretted it. Her eyes were locked on mine and the expression she had was unreadable. She looked hurt and annoyed at the same time. She didn't bother addressing the fact that I was late which I was grateful for. I took my normal seat next to Carmen and Andre and patiently waited for this shit to be over. 

Andre turned around and gave me a funny look, "You good S?" he asked, concern evident in his voice. 

"Yeah just tired," I said and he gave me a reassuring smile. 

I put my head down for the rest of the time not wanting to be bothered. Then, as if the universe was trying to spite me, I heard a voice coming from the front of the room.
