Chapter 12

Serenas POV

I grabbed Sophias arm and lead her out of the bathroom while she gripped on to me for dear life. We were walking quickly over to my car and it was like a scene straight out of a movie. People were scrambling all over the place and there were about 10 cop cars surrounding us. Lights were flashing and sirens were blaring. Everything seemed to move in slow motion. 

A couple of the Sons had been caught and were pinned on the ground while the cops placed cuffs around their wrists. 

We reached my car and I turned to Sophia who looked like a dear in headlights.

"Get in" I said motioning to my passenger seat as I unlocked the car. I went to turn but she grabbed my arm.

"Where are you going" the fear evident in her voice. Those blue orbs held so much concern. 

"I have to go find Carmen" my tone was flustered as I looked all-around at the scene unfolding in front of us trying to spot the dark locks of my best friend.

"Please don't leave," she said in a desperate manner while pulling me into her.  

I hated seeing her so scared but I needed to find Carmen I couldn't just leave her here. Just as I was about to answer her I saw Jax running towards his bike. 

"Serena what the fuck are you still doing here you need to leave NOW" he shouted.

"I don't know where Carmen is" I shouted back.

 Suddenly we heard shots being fired and Sophia yelped and threw her body into mine hiding her face in the crook of my neck. 

Jax started his bike and rode up next to me, "Bobby has Carmen now take your friend and get the fuck out of here" he said in an urgent tone. 

He waited for us to drive out before he left trailing behind us. 

Sophias POV

My body was in absolute shock. I couldn't believe what had just happened. I looked over at Serena who was driving rather fast down the streets of our town. Her brother was right behind us and my mind was racing as I tried to slow my breath.

"where are we going" I managed to get out while still staring at the blonde-haired girl. 

She kept her eyes on the road while remaining silent.

"Serena where are we going," I said again, the fear more evident in my voice.

"I'm taking you home," she said and I could feel the anger rising in my chest. 

"The fuck you are, I'm not going anywhere, not after what just happened" my tone was assertive and I wasn't backing down. 

"Sophia it's not optional, you're safer at home than with me right now," she said still keeping her eyes glued to the road. 

"I don't care!" I said getting angrier. 

I realized we were pulling into my neighborhood and I was confused as to how she knew where I lived. She still wouldn't look at me and I was ready to lose my shit.

"Serena no!" I shouted at her.

We pulled up in front of my house and without another word, she got out and walked over to the passenger side door opening it. 

"Get out," she said standing over me. 

I crossed my arms over my chest and looked straight ahead. "No" 

"Sophia I don't have time for this shit please just listen to me" her tone was agitated but I didn't care, I had no plans of leaving her. 

When I made no attempt to get up she took matters into her own hands. 

"Fine be that way," she said before putting her arms under my thighs and pulling me out of her car. 

"Serena! put me down!" I shouted, but to no avail.

She carried me to my front steps as I struggled to break free from her grasp. Once we reached my door she released her hold on me.  

"Just fucking stay here" 

And with that she hurried to her car, getting in and whipping down the street. I could feel my anger subsiding as it was replaced with a new sensation, worry. I was so scared something was going to happen to her and there was nothing I could do about it.

I thought back to the night we had. How my heartbeat quickened when my arms were wrapped around her small waist. How her smile managed to brighten my whole mood. How her soft lips felt pressed against my neck. I was starting to develop feelings for her and there's nothing I can do about it.
