Don't Cry, My Dear - Hyeongjun💕

Y/N smiled at her phone, reading the text over and over again. It was from her boyfriend, Myungsoo. "Meet me in the café after school. I have to tell you something." She held the phone to her heart, wondering what he could possibly want to tell her. Her heart fluttered just thinking about the possibilities, but she still couldn't make a prediction that she felt was accurate. After all, he'd never done anything as spontaneous as this before.

By the time she got to the café, she was giddy with excitement. But when she got there and saw his somber expression, her spirits fell. Clearly something was wrong.

"Everything alright?" she asked, sitting down in front of him.

He folded his hands, staring at them for a minute, contemplating. She put a hand over his, and he stared at her hand for a moment before pulling away.

"I... I don't want to be together anymore," he said slowly. "I'm breaking up with you." He stayed in his seat for a second longer, watching her face, seemingly scared for what her reaction would be.

Her heart shattered, but if he was waiting for a reaction, she didn't give him any. She just nodded. "Okay," she said softly. "Okay."

"I... have to go," he said, getting up.

"Yeah," she agreed. "I think you should go."

And he did. He left.

She stared at the tiny promise ring that she wore on her pinky. She stared at it without blinking, watching it blur in front of her eyes. She felt tears rolling down her cheeks but refused to wipe them off.

She started to take off the ring, her fingers hesitating for a second before she completely yanked it off. She brought it closer to her face, staring at the useless thing. Promise. Hah. See how well that worked out for her.

A part of her was angry, and a part of her only wanted to be angry, but she couldn't stop her tears. She could feel the eyes of people around her, but couldn't bring herself to leave. A tiny, irrational part of her heart was hoping that he'd come back begging, realizing that he was stupid to leave her.

He didn't. He just left her there, crying.

"Stupid," she whispered, lowering her head and crying in earnest. She wasn't sure if she was talking about herself or him.

"Miss," one of the café employees said, tapping her shoulder and sounding uncomfortable. "I'm really sorry, but if you aren't going to buy anything, I'm going to have to ask you to leave."

"She's with me," said a voice, a male voice that she thought she recognized, but wasn't sure. She heard him pull out the chair in front of her and sit down. "Here," he said, though she didn't look up. "I didn't know what kind of coffee you liked, or if you even liked coffee, but I bought you an iced latte. I drink it to cheer me up when I'm sad."

She laughed a little into her arm, still not meeting the stranger's eyes. "I doubt a latte is going to make me feel better," she mumbled.

"Would you like to talk about it?" he asked kindly. "I usually feel better when I talk to someone about my feelings."

Y/N knew this stranger was just trying to be nice, but she really wasn't in the mood for it. More than anything, she just wanted to be alone. "Excuse me, who do you think you are-" she said, lifting her head.

And immediately regretted it.

Her eyes widened and she covered her mouth with one hand, wondering how it was possible that her day just got that much worse.

She had just been rude to Hyeongjun. Hyeongjun from Cravity. Cravity, her favorite group.

For his part, he didn't look the least bit offended. The only thing in his eyes was concern.

"I'm sooo sorry!" she exclaimed, still shocked. "I didn't mean to be rude."

"Don't be sorry," he answered, giving her a kind smile. "You're clearly upset. And... well, you're right. I don't know you. You probably wouldn't want to tell me what's going on, but you should definitely talk to someone you trust about it."

She nodded, wiping a stray tear off of her face. "I will. Maybe. Thanks." She sniffed, looking at the latte he'd bought her. "Thanks for the coffee too."

"Anytime," he said, causing her to laugh. As if they'd ever see each other again. As it was, it was a miracle the place wasn't full of screaming fangirls.

"I bought you a cookie too," he continued shyly, pushing a plate towards her.

She smiled. "Thank you."

"You smiled," he noted, his eyes brightening. "Is it working? Am I cheering you up?"

Y/N looked into his hopeful face, and even though she was still sad, she couldn't tell him no. "You're doing a great job," she admitted, biting into the cookie.

He clapped. "Yayyy," he said, and he was so adorable that she couldn't help the laugh that escaped her.

"What's your name?" he asked, leaning forward and cupping his face in his hands, looking at her.

"Y/N," she said, almost asking his name, the polite words of introduction on the tip of her tongue before she realized that she already knew his name.

"Are you a Cravity fan?" he asked her.

She nodded enthusiastically. "You guys are my favorite group."

His eyes brightened and he raised his hands to his heart, a gesture so pure that her heart melted. "Really?"

"Really," she said, nodding.

"Then maybe I can give you a gift that will really cheer you up!" he said excitedly, pulling out his phone. He clicked mail and pushed the phone over to her. "Here, send yourself an email. You know our concert next month, the one that the tickets go on sale tomorrow? I can send you a free VIP ticket. Okay? How does that sound?"

Her eyes widened, and she stared at him, her fingers hovering over his phone. "Really? Are you serious?"

"Very serious," he said, nodding. "Well... I'll have to check with the CEO. But I can convince him, don't worry."

"You really don't have to do that," she said, starting to push his phone back across the table.

"Let me," he insisted, pushing it back to her. "Please??" he said, pouting at her.

He was just so cute, she couldn't help laughing, shaking her head at him teasingly. "Alright. Fineee," she said, sending herself an email.

Hyeongjun took his phone back happily. "I have to go to practice," he said, getting up. "I'll be in touch!"

She nodded, smiling at him. "Thank you so much. For everything."

"I can't wait to see you at the concert," he said, waving at her as he left.

She smiled to herself, taking another bite of the cookie he'd bought her. She was still sad, and her heart would need some time to piece itself back together, but thanks to Hyeongjun, the process was starting.
