Y/N stood at the front of the classroom, smoothing the creases in her skirt, anxiously looking around the room as the teacher introduced her. She couldn't even concentrate on the words that the teacher was saying, all she could think about was trying to hide her nerves. She had to make a good impression. She'd transferred randomly, in the middle of the school year. She needed to make a lasting impression, a good one, in order to have any chance at making friends.

The teacher tapped her shoulder, and she jumped. "Huh?"

"Would you like to say a few words to the class?"

Y/N wrung her hands nervously, shaking her head. "No," she whispered, dread settling in the pit of her stomach and she realized that any chance she had of making a good first impression, was gone.

"Okay. Your seat is over there," the teacher said, pointing to the only empty seat in the room. Thank goodness it was all the way in the back, where she could hide, and be alone. Hopefully, she wouldn't embarrass herself any more than she already had.

But of course, she tripped on her way to the back of the room, her books going flying as she crashed to the floor. Y/N balled her hands into fists, reminding herself to breathe. Sure, the first minutes of her first day weren't going as planned, but that didn't mean she'd have a bad school year, right?

Holding onto that thought, she lifted her head. A boy was on the ground next to her, gathering her books. He handed them to her with a sweet smile, and stood up, offering his hand.

She accepted the help and allowed him to pull her to her feet. The boy whispered, "Seongmin, nice to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you too," she whispered back as they found their seats. She felt her cheeks heating up, already flustered from talking to such a cute guy.

He noticed, and his eyes twinkled, his smile widening slightly. "Would you like to sit with me and my friends at lunch?" He asked.

She nodded slowly, a small smile coming to her face as she realized that maybe the first day of school wouldn't be quite as bad as she thought.

"Y/N! What's taking you so long?" Seongmin called from outside the classroom. She watched him bounce up and down on his tippy-toes, impatiently waiting to walk her home.

A couple of the girls on the other side of the room shot her some nasty looks, but she was used to ignoring them by now. They'd bothered her a lot at first, but after being at the school for a month, she'd decided that Seongmin was so fun to be around, that it was totally worth getting some mean looks here and there. Plus, who's to say they'd treat her even better even if she wasn't hanging out with him?

The most popular boy in the school.

She had a crush on the most popular boy in school.

Of course, it was just her luck, really. To like a boy who was so unbelievably out of her league.

She took a deep breath and walked out of the classroom, meeting him in the hallway. He was leaning against the doorframe, holding two chocolate milk boxes in his hand.

"Are you having both of those?" She asked, tilting her head and giving him a playful look, knowing fully well that one of them was for her. When he'd found out that they were her favorite, he'd started bringing them for her all the time.

"Nope, just one," he answered cheerily, handing one to her. "I shouldn't be having one at all," he continued thoughtfully. "I'm on a diet."

Y/N shot him a sideways glance, poking the straw into the box. "What? Why? You're perfect just the way you are, you don't need to be dieting."
