Be The Star - Jungmo💕

Y/N tucked herself at the back of the room, behind the crowd of extras. She peered in-between the bodies of other aspiring actors and actresses, trying to get a glimpse of him. 

And was happily surprised to find that he was peeking back at her. She looked away, trying to hide her smile. That became harder when he started to walk over, going to groups of extras and kindly chatting with them, smoothly making his way over to her.

She was so nervous that she found herself stepping back, worried that if he got too close she wouldn't be able to stop herself from throwing her arms around him.

Unfortunately, she didn't notice the things behind her, and she tripped and went crashing to the floor. 

He ran over, concern in every feature of his body, his brown eyes staring into hers. 

"Are you okay?" he whispered, taking her hand and helping her up. 

She started to nod, but the cut on her leg started bleeding, and he quickly put an arm around her waist, walking her over to a chair. 

"I'm alright," she insisted. "It's a tiny cut." 

"Shhh, let's pretend that you got hurt so that I can stay with you for a bit, huh?" 

Y/N laughed, understanding. "Okay," she whispered, bending down to rub her hurt leg. "How are you doing?" she said softly. "You said you got hurt at practice the other day." 

"I did, but I'm all better now," he assured her. "Especially since you're here. I wish I could see you more often." He paused, tilting his head at her. "We could, you know, if you'd let me reveal it to the public." 

"We talked all about this," she chastised him quietly. "I don't want to reveal it yet. I'm not ready to be attacked by possessive fans."

"Maybe they'll like you," he countered. 

"Ha, sure," she said, still laughing. "Really Jungmo, let's just wait a bit. After I graduate, then we can, okay?" 

"Anything for you," he said brightly, taking out a napkin and pressing it against her cut to wipe away the blood. "How does your leg feel?" 

"Honestly, I'd forgotten about it, talking to you." 

He laughed, "I'm like medicine!" 

"The best," she whispered softly. She wanted to kiss him. If he didn't go soon, she just might. "Don't you have to join your members?" she asked, poking his shoulder. 

"Trying to get rid of me already?" 

"You bet!" she said teasingly. 

"Hey, you two!" the director called out, walking over to them. 

Her heart stopped. They were caught? No... it couldn't be. Not after they'd gone through such lengths to hide their relationship. 

"This would be a great scene in the MV," the director said thoughtfully, looking at the two of them. "Jungmo, here's the plan," he continued, starting to walk away. Jungmo looked at her, shrugged in confusion, and then beckoned for her to follow. "In the beginning of the video, you still like the main girl," the direction said, pointing to the main female lead of their MV. "You're walking into the gym, cooly, with your arm around her. You're a playboy, okay, remember? But then you see this one," he said, pointing to Y/N. 

This one? She struggled to hold back her laughter. Beside her, Jungmo looked annoyed, but she shook her head slightly, pressing her lips together to contain her laughter. 

"And you'll see her all alone over there," he continued, pointing to a far corner of the room. "And she's injured, rubbing her leg. And when you pass her, you can't help but bend down and check if she's okay. Okay? That's what you'll do in this scene." 

Jungmo gave the director a thumbs up. "Got it." He hesitated, biting his lip and shooting a nervous glance at her before he turned back to the director. "Maybe she should come back and be in other music videos. We can develop our story. Make us have a deep intertwined history that we didn't know about... or we both have a dark past or... I don't know. Something."

The director tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Huh. Yeah, maybe we could do that," he said, walking away and over to Cravity's manager, likely to run the new changes by him. 

"This way, my fans will ship us before our relationship is even revealed," Jungmo said, stepping closer to her. She felt her heart skip a beat and she struggled to compose herself, but it was hard, with him so close to her. 

"Let's start the scene," the director shouted. "Jungmo, come over here. You, go sit over there. Look sad, okay?" 

She nodded, going to the corner and arranging a devastated look on her face. She rubbed at her ankle, morphing her face into an expression of pain. 

She looked up when Jungmo came over with his arm around the other girl. For a second, she felt a twinge of jealousy, but she shook the silly feeling away. 

His eyes locked with hers, and she was sure that the cameras would be able to pick up that this was real. It wasn't that either of them were good actors. Well, they were good, but they weren't acting. Not now. 

He took his arm away from the other girl and walked over, crouching beside her. He brushed a strand of hair from her face, and then looked down, his fingers brushing against her ankle. 

"Cut!" 

Y/N let out the breath she'd been holding. Jungmo didn't move from her side, his eyes were still locked with hers. 

"I love you," he said softly. 

She jumped a little, looking around quickly to make sure no one heard him. "Shh!" she whispered. "I know that already. Someone will hear you!" 

He laughed, ruffling her hair. "They'll think we're rehearsing." 

"The director didn't give either of us lines."

"I love you," he said again, his eyes teasing her. 

She sighed in defeat. "And I love you too, you idiot," she said, getting up. He made a face at her and she laughed. 

"You know what?" he whispered, getting up too. "This is going to be your big break. The world will finally see that you're a good actress. You're going to be a star," he said, taking her hand and twirling her around. 

"Just like you," she responded, laughing happily. 

He shook his head. "You shine more brilliantly than I ever could," he said, the deep adoration in his eyes making her cheeks flush red. But before she could respond, he took her hand, leading her to the director. "How about we do a kiss scene?" He called out, turning back to wink at her. 

She laughed, hearing the director call back, "that's not such a bad idea..."
