CHAPTER VII —
INTERRUPTIONS.
CASSIDY WOKE UP TO A POUNDING HEAD, wincing slightly at the brightness of the sun coming straight through her windows. She tried to sit up, the arm thrown over her waist preventing her from moving more than an inch. She followed the tanned arm to the tanned boy it belonged to, a small smiling falling over her face when she caught sight of JJ still completely passed out besides her, his shirtless body partially covered by the blue comforter on her bed.
His blonde hair was messily covering his face and she couldn't help but bring her hand to brush it away with tender fingers, her thumb grazing his forehead. At the movement, JJ groaned softly and opened his eyes, her hand instantly retracting away with the embarrassment of being caught.
Cassidy waited for him to jump out of bed and leave, the expectancy for him to do so already breaking her heart even though he had yet to move. He then surprised her and did the exact opposite, tightening his hold on her as he pulled her on top of him.
He smiled at the soft squeal she made at his movements, his eyes crinkling up in the corners and he grabbed her hand before bringing it back up to his hair. She took notice of the action and began to run her fingers through it as she had done so moments before, his own hands falling to the bare skin on her thighs.
He glanced down to see that she still had on his cutoff from yesterday, his mind wandering back to the night before and his grip tightened on her legs subconsciously as she paused the massage on his head. Almost like she was daring him to take action, her hands found their way to his chest and her nails lightly scraped their way down towards his stomach.
JJ knew the sign perfectly well, his arm wrapping around her back as he flipped them over, his hair now partially covering his face as he looked down at her with a small grin. His heart was beating out of his chest as she looked up at him, her lips slightly parted at the switch of positions.
"Goodmorning," she whispered, the first words spoken between them since they had woken up and yet somehow it was the best part of his morning thus far. He leaned down and connected their lips before drawing back, her frown leading him to laugh softly.
"It is, isn't it?"
Cassidy scoffed and shoved him off with a giggle, his body flopping down besides her as he groaned. He didn't want to ever leave the bed and he knew that the time was coming to do so, and with it would come the time to leave her all together.
She moved away from his reaching hands and stood up to stretch, the material of his shirt raising up her body as he felt his breathe catch at the sight. He had no doubt that Cassidy Blaire was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen in his life, even after she had just woken up and she was in his dirty shirt.
