Garley slept very little that night. He was absorbed in the thought of being the Golden Knight's heir. Could it have been a coincidence, finding the medallion and being transported to the island? Or, on the other hand, was it his destiny all along? If it wasn't destiny, how else was he able to wield the sword?

The next day, he had lunch with Aldrich, who was in an even better mood than usual. He was astounded by what had happened the night before.

"And who would have thought! Without your blackmail on the day you arrived at my house, I wouldn't have agreed to help find the portal," Aldrich said, sighing.

"But... I don't even know how to handle a sword. Maybe it was luck being able to hold it?"

"Don't worry about that. I'm going to teach all I know. On the other hand, who knows, maybe you don't need teaching. Maybe it's in your blood," said Aldrich, giving him a wink. "I'm fairly sure it wasn't just luck."

"In my blood?" Garley asked, raising his eyebrows. "How could that be? I don't descend from anyone here on the island."

"Look, Garley, I wish I had all the answers. We know this happened for a reason. Just carrying around the sword is considered the symbol of a great warrior."

"But if what you're saying is right, what will everyone think when they find out the great warrior left Kansnubra Island to go back to the outside world?" asked Garley, thinking everything that happened was nonsense.

Aldrich, who loved his food, stopped eating and looked at Garley.

"Relax! We have not finished our search yet. Last night while you were asleep, I studied the map for hours. The small portion on the footnote says: With the prophecy, you will know what to do. That will reveal a lot for us."

"Prophecy. Do they have those here too?"

"A prophecy isn't something easy to come by. The last one that appeared turned out to be bogus. However, Johnny's grandmother left this for him, and it's quite possible her message bears something of great importance and truth," said Aldrich.

They finished their lunch, and in the afternoon, they went to Johnny's house.

It was a cloudy outside. The square was not full as the previous day. Garley was carrying the sword, enveloped in a black cloth. Aldrich had insisted that he hide it. After walking past many corners and stores, they arrived at Johnny's. Pushing the gate open, they walked into the garden. Immediately, the family's young dragon snarled, shaking its gigantic tail.

It was still as scary as the first time Garley had seen it.

"I almost forgot the dragon again!" said Garley apprehensively.

"Don't pay attention to him. Let's go."
