Garley was standing up in the middle of a wide street. He felt a little dizzy. It was a bit dark, but it looked like the sun was about to come up.

Suddenly, he saw a bright headlight coming towards him fast, lighting him up. His heart began to race and he quickly jumped to the sidewalk.

The headlight lit the area enough for him to recognize this street. He was standing right in front of his neighbor Bob's house, who was just now taking his old car out of the garage.

Garley, stumbling in his walk, began to head to house next door, stopping at the gate. He could think of nothing else but embracing his family tightly.

He went to the front door and turned the large doorknob. As he pushed it, he saw his grandfather lying on the living room couch and his dad looking for his socks.

"Dad!" he yelled, running towards him.

His dad was startled and immediately became pale. "Garley?!" He hugged his son tightly. "My son, are you okay? Where have you been all this time? You have no idea how worried we have been!"

Climbing down the spiral stairs, his mom appeared in the room. She froze upon seeing her son and then ran towards him, embracing him as her eyes filled with tears.

"It's okay, mom. I've never been better."

"I thought you were gone forever!" she cried.

More footsteps were heard hurrying down the stairs. It was Billy. He didn't appear to be overwhelmingly happy to see Garley, but Garley knew he was.

"Oh no! He's back," Billy said, hesitating to hug his brother.

Nevertheless, Garley hugged him and held him tightly as Billy tried to shrug his way out.

"Help! He's going to kill me!" he yelled, and laughed.

Garley smiled as his mother stood in front of him with her arms crossed.

"Where have you been, son? Did you mean to give me a heart attack?"

"I have some great news," he said. "But I think you should make some tea because it's a long story..."

Garley gave a large smile as he felt his sword inside its sheath, still under his coat. With his other hand, he squeezed the small bag of pearls he had been given.
