"Leader Of The Pack" -The Shangri-Las
Bonnie had agreed to stay the week that was proposed. She tried to keep optimistic but it was hard not to be scared out of her mind. Her best friend was a real witch and the two large men in the cabin could full-on shift into dogs.
Not to mention the fact that she was also a witch.
Sean brought his mate back inside. He couldn't help himself when he placed a hand on the middle of her back, urging her inside. He was smiling like an idiot and at the moment, he didn't care who saw, he didn't care if Nora made fun of him or if his Beta told his whole pack.
All Sean cared about was the short woman walking closely next to him.
When they made it to the dining room, Nora and Marcus were in a heated discussion but both instantly quieted when the couple was spotted in the doorway. Sean rushed in front of his mate, quick to pull a chair out for her. She sat down timidly, darting her dark green eyes around at the three others.
A glass of water was poured and placed in front of her by the curly blond-haired man that she dreamed about. She couldn't help but look up at him quickly as he sat down next to her at the medium-sized, wooden, six-seater table.
No one sat at either end of the table as the boys sat across from each other and the girls the same. Bonnie's eyes left his the millisecond she realized that he was already looking at her.
Bonnie had let Nora place a grilled cheese on her plate as she sat quietly in her seat. She was unbelievably uncomfortable and it was taking her all not to combust. Nora and Marcus had started up a conversation again but Bonnie couldn't hear over the large man next to her watching her every move.
She couldn't help it when she roughly placed her elbow on the table, her silverware hit the table with a clank but she ignored it by placing a hand on her forehead. The three other heads at the table looked at her due to the sound.
"Bon, you okay?" Nora asked softly.
"Headache," She rubbed her head and was just about to smack it until she felt his eyes on her, "I said I was going to stay but that didn't mean I was going to like it so stop fucking staring at me. All of you."
She turned and glared at Sean, "Especially you! I can't fucking think with your gorgeous ass eyes peering into my soul, dammit!"
Bonnie made a move to stand but Nora stopped her, "I understand that you're upset with me but please don't take it out on 'em and just eat," Bonnie still stood, "Please, Bon. Ya haven't eaten in days," She pleaded softly.
At the sound of his mate not eating, Sean exploded, "What? I told you to bring her to me, healthy, witch!"
Nora rolled her eyes, "She was in the hospital on a drip for three days and not to mention passed out for most of the time...Also, another thing, stop callin' me 'witch' derogatorily. Not only is it an insult on my kind but also very anti-feminist-"
"Quit your rambling!" Sean looked away from her to look down at his mate, "If it's true that you haven't eaten, please eat. I know you're mad at us all but don't hurt yourself out of spite."
"Can I eat upstairs?" Bonnie mumbled. Sean found it adorable and couldn't help the small smile that arose to his lips.
He nodded, "Of course. Take your water too."
Astonishingly, she listened to him. No matter how much she wanted to hate the guy, he was literally the man of her dreams and he was too hot to say no to. Sean watched her leave before sitting back down in his seat at the table. Marcus and Nora were silent as they went back to eating.
