"BONNIE" -LIL DUSTY G
That night, after dinner was finished, bellies were full, and Marcus had left back to the packhouse to check on Savannah, Nora had retired early to her bedroom while the couple, Bonnie and Sean, lied in their room and watched t.v.
To say Bonnie was nervous was an understatement. She prepared herself while she dressed in her pajamas that consisted of her favorite sweat pants and an old shirt that wasn't too disgusting looking.
She prepared herself for the worst and for some reason the worst was him making a move on her. She wasn't ready to be that way with Sean and she didn't know when she would be.
Once emerging from the bathroom, she clicked off the light and closed the door behind her, avoiding the large man in the bed. Sean didn't look up at his mate as he fumbled with the remote, trying to put on one of the superhero movies Bonnie had mentioned earlier. He was trying so hard not to look but it gave him a headache.
Bonnie ran to the bed, quickly tucking herself under the thick comforter, bringing it up to her chin, and watched Sean, waiting for the inevitable look he was to give her. But, Sean didn't look back at his mate as he smiled to himself and pressed play on the remote.
He then pushed himself back on the bed, leaning himself on the headboard, and stretched out his long legs. Bonnie avoided eye contact and focused her attention on the movie playing on the large screen in front of them that hung from the wall.
Bonnie couldn't help but marvel at the thing. She had never seen anything so extravagant and expensive. It brought up questions: Where did Sean get the money to afford this place along with the expensive stuff inside?
She didn't really understand what an Alpha was or how they made money. She didn't really care as long as it didn't hurt people or was illegal.
"Sean?" She murmured his name quietly and with the comforter almost entirely over her face, it made it that much quieter.
But Sean heard her, he always would, "What is it, Monkey?"
"How do you have so much money?"
He couldn't help the small smile that arose on his lips. He was happy that she wanted to get to know him, "Well, I built my own contracting company and many of my pack members that aren't a part of our security...I guess you could call them, work for me in many different ways within the company."
"Like what kind of ways?"
Sean turned down the movie some before he looked down at Bonnie, covered in his comforter that goes up past her chin as she gazes up at him with her dark green eyes, "All kinds. I have people in accounting, secretaries, an office manager, contractors...all types of jobs that provide for my people."
Sean watched her as she looked away in thought, "I was scared it was going to be something illegal."
A short laugh left him, "Why would you think I did something illegal?"
Bonnie shrugged cutely under the blanket before responding, "I don't know...You just have a lot of nice things. I didn't mean to offend you-"
"Baby," He grabbed her attention with the pet name, "You didn't offend me. I'm happy to answer any questions you have."
"Even if they're kinda stupid?"
He couldn't help but laugh again, "There is no such thing when it comes to you."
