"Beyond" -Leon Bridges
"Sean?"
They were back at the cabin. It was close to one in the morning when they had reached home, changed into sleepwear, and collapsed onto the bed with each other. Sean instantly put on a superhero movie, keeping the volume low and the subtitles on, just how Bonnie liked it.
Bonnie's eyes were half-open but, Sean was wide awake. The effects from the party that welcomed his mate to the pack, still left a buzzing feeling throughout his body. He almost couldn't sit still with how elated he felt at that moment.
Everything was finally falling into place.
Not but a week prior was he exhausted from pack life, he had lost hope of ever finding his soulmate, and was suffocating in the office behind mounds of paperwork. He was ready to give up on life itself, the Alpha wolf was that desperate for Bonnie.
Sean looked down at the one he calls his when he heard her whisper his name. Sean found chubby cheeks squished together atop his bicep. She had snuggled up to him the second they both fell onto the mattress. Her lips pouty and eyes half-open, blinking slowly with sleep.
He hummed his response. It was a long moment before she spoke again. He thought she had fallen asleep until she whispered, "I'm in love with you, Teddy."
Sean seized up entirely. Anxiety and warmth spread through him instantly. He hadn't expected her, after barely a week of knowing one another, to admit her feelings to him. Granted, Sean was ready to pronounce his undying love for her the second he smelt her scent in their cabin the day she arrived.
Back in Washington, he had spilled the beans about falling in love with her but she hadn't seemed all that shocked. Sean forced himself to forget about it due to the traumatic experience with her birth father and how poorly he had treated her that day.
Sean slid down next to her, no longer leaning his back against the headboard of the bed. The movie, long forgotten, as he smiled sweetly down at his mate, bringing her body closer to his. He began to rub her back over the large t-shirt she wore.
Trailing his fingers down her waist, he noticed that she was only wearing underwear, no pants or shorts. Her eyes fully fluttered closed at the feel of his hands on her, so close to sleep until she felt him move closer to her face, that she forced herself to stay awake.
Just before his lips were firmly pressed on hers, he murmured against them, "Oh, Monkey. I've been in love with you since the moment the witch showed me a photo of you. You have no idea how much my heart has wished for this very moment, baby."
With her eyes still closed, she couldn't control the embarrassed smile that began to grow. She curled her body into a fetal position from the pure giddiness that instantly began to fill her. His voice held that same thickness he used when trying to seduce his way into getting what he wanted from her.
Sean's lips placed themselves atop hers, sucking lightly. Bonnie moaned so quietly it could have been classified as a breath of air. The hand that was trailing her back and waist, effectively giving her goosebumps, moved up her arm, to her neck, and then jaw where he gripped it softly, tilting her head up to meet his lips better.
She unfurled from the fetal position as he began to turn her onto her back, lying half atop her and on the mattress. The hand that wasn't gripping her jaw was keeping him up so as to not have his full body weight on her.
Bonnie took both her hands, clutching each side of his t-shirt where his hips were, bringing his body flush against her. Wanting him to use his body for comfort, almost as a weighted blanket. Sean continued to slowly kiss the life out of her, taking his sweet time in familiarizing himself with her.
