"Private Idaho" -The B-52's
For the first time in a long time, Ida Fischer was nervous. She almost began to shake as she peered up at the Alpha of Idaho. He was almost unnaturally tall and as he stood proudly next to his five-foot four-inch-tall mate, he looked almost beastly as he towered over them both.
She wasn't fearful because of the Alpha, she was nervous he would say no. As he thought to himself, his small and curvy mate looked between the two as he kept a large arm around her. Ida continued to wait, almost pleading up at him with her eyes.
"Is there somewhere we can discuss this privately, Miss Fischer?" Sean asked in a tired tone.
Ida immediately thought of a safe space, nodding her head rapidly, "Of course, sir. Right this way," Ida stuck out a boney arm in the direction of a hallway to the left.
Bonnie stayed rooted to her spot as Ida took a step in the direction she had pointed to. Sean took a step, keeping an arm around his mate but stopped abruptly when he noticed Bonnie wasn't moving. Ida noticed but continued on to give them a moment alone to speak, waiting at the entryway of the hallway.
"Baby...What's the matter?" Sean turned around to place both hands on her waist.
Bonnie was confused by his question, "Well...I didn't know you wanted me to go with you guys. I thought you wanted to go and be Alpha or something..."
He let out a short laugh, "Yeah... But that doesn't mean you don't get to sit in on the meetings with me, silly."
Bonnie's eyebrows scrunched together and formed a small 'o' with her mouth, "I'm sorry, I guess I'm not completely over with what happened this afternoon."
Now it was Sean's turn to be confused, "I apologized..."
"No!" Bonnie quickly gripped onto his biceps to make sure he stayed where he was and listened, "I know you did. I just don't think my brain really registered it or maybe my brain didn't believe you while my heart did...If that makes any sense."
Sean then knew what she was going on about and brought her into his chest so she could rest her cheek on him as he hugged her tightly, rubbing up and down on her back with his hand, "I understand. I know you forgive me but it's hard to forget all the times and people have apologized but never meant it and I'm so sorry you had to meet so many ungenuine people, Bonnie."
Bonnie let out a sigh of relief, "How do you always know all the right things to say?"
He shrugged with a grin as they pulled away from each other but continued to hold one another in their arms, "Do you want to come talk to Miss Fischer with me?"
Bonnie nodded with a grateful smile. Hand in hand they made their way towards the tall and skinny woman who had waited for them when Bonnie was being self-conscious.
Ida gave them both a small smile before leading the way to a communal area on the far left side of the house. It was rarely ever used so Ida was sure that they wouldn't be disturbed.
After passing so many doors, the three of them had arrived at the end of the hallway. Ida opened the double doors on the right side, holding one door open for the couple to walk in behind her. Inside was a large circular table with many swivel back chairs and a flat-screen t.v. on the farthest wall.
Ida turned on the lights and a warm glow filtered throughout the room.
Ida made her way over to a chair and sat down, making herself comfortable. Sean held out a chair for his mate, waited for her to sit, and then sat next to Bonnie, clutching onto her hand.
