"Monkey Gone to Heaven" -Pixies

Ten minutes had passed on when the couple had fled to the inside while the witch and wolf siblings stayed out on the back porch. Savannah had sat down in one of the outdoor chairs, wrapping her skinny arms around herself and avoiding all eye contact with the witch who sat in front of her.

Marcus had sat down on top of the glass table, looking periodically between the two women.

Savannah wanted to leave. She was uncomfortable, confused, and cold because of the fall wind that graced Idaho. She couldn't look at the tall woman that had silver hair, large dark eyes, and a complexion she only dreamed of.

When they had shaken hands and the warmth of the mate bind spread through them, Savannah felt nothing but betrayal. Why was her mate a woman? She had never looked at a girl in any way romantic or lustful...So, why her?

Marcus watched his sister in turmoil. He raised her and never once saw a sliver of indication that she may have been gay. He didn't care if she was but, if she was gay, why didn't she tell him?

They told each other everything so for his sister to not only find her mate before him but her mate was a woman...Marcus was jealous. He was twenty-eight and not only has his twenty-six-year-old Alpha found his mate but so has his twenty-one-year-old sister.

Marcus was happy for Savannah but he couldn't help how he felt.

"Savannah?" He grabbed his sister's attention with a stern voice.

The blonde looked up at him with scrunched brows and pursed lips, she was mad, "What, Marcus?"

"Don't start with me, little girl," Marcus pointed an accusing finger at her, "It's time to grow up. You need to either work this out with Nora or reject your only chance of a mate because I don't have time to watch your whiny ass," Savannah's angry face never waivered, her arms still crossed over her chest, "So, figure it out."

Nora couldn't help but speak up, "Marcus," He looked over at the witch, "Let 'er take some time. I'm not goin' anywhere any time soon and if ya hadn't noticed, I think ya sisters just found out she's gay."

Nora stopped to stand and when she did, she had to put both her hands on each side of the chair, she felt heartbroken and powerless so she looked down at her trembling mate and waited for Savannah to look up at her.

"Take all the time ya need. I know this is a shock and if ya wanna talk to me, ya can. But, please do me a favor..."

Nora stopped to reel herself in, "Don't run away from me. If ya don't want to be anythin' romantic, then we can just be friends and if ya don't even wanna be friends and never wanna speak to me again...well, I guess that's fine too."

The witch took the few steps it took to the sliding glass door but Marcus stopped her, "Where are you going, Nora?"

She slid open the glass door, stepped inside the house, and then turned around to answer, "I just need to lay down for a little while. Let me know when suppers ready."

With that, Nora White had left, closing the sliding glass door behind her softly and walked herself all the way back up to her room.

The Foley siblings continued to stay out on the back porch. Savannah sat in shock and confusion while her brother, Marcus, was seething. He was disappointed in his little sister.

Marcus leaped off the table and moved to stand in front of Savannah with hands on his hips, "I'm extremely disappointed in you, Savannah."

Savannah couldn't help but roll her eyes, "What do you expect me to do, Marcus?"
