"W-we're just friends." Minho directed his eyes towards anything that wasn't Jisung. He didn't want those words to be true. He knew that. But he wasn't ready for Jisung to know that.
"Right, of course, I know." Jisung muttered out. Minho couldn't stand the atmosphere anymore, so it didn't take long for him to leave the principles office after Hyunjin had moments ago, leaving Jisung by himself.
Jisung didn't bother stop him, he didn't exactly want to stay in the room with Minho either. Though as soon as he noticed it was just him, he didn't like it at all. He quickly jotted down a brief explanation of what had happened on a scrap piece of paper that laid over the desk. Surely Mr Park would understand.
And so the day went on. Not much happened. Everyone kept their distance from each other. Jisung sat with Chan and Changbin. Hyunjin sat with Felix. Minho sat with his book, under the peaceful tree in the courtyard, hoping the life portrayed on the pages would envelope him so he didn't have to deal with his own problems.

The next few days were the same. Classes were quiet, days were long, heads were low. Their friends had asked questions like 'what's going on with you guys?' 'Did you guys get in a fight?' But no answers were given. It seemed that the three boys had mutually agreed to push it all past them, hopefully things would go back to normal soon.
The weekend had finally swung around as Saturday afternoon approached. Minho stared at his phone with weary eyes.
He jolted up from his bed.
The assignment.
It was due on Monday and him and Jisung had barely spent two hours on it.
Minho shoved a pillow over his face. He didn't have any contact with Jisung, he didn't even have his number. Then Minho remembered, he knew where Jisung lived. He started to recall the night, remembering as if it was yesterday. He knew the route and he knew it wouldn't take too long to walk there. It seemed like a good idea...accept it really wasn't.
He couldn't just show up on Jisung's doorstep, then again, what other choice did he have? If they didn't get this assignment done they might fail the class.
Minho debated with himself for a good twenty minutes. Repeatedly getting ready to leave only to remind himself it was a stupid thing to do. He went back and forth between sides. Go, don't go, go, don't go.
"What are you doing?" Minho's father had a cracker in his hand as he eyed his son pacing back and forth in front of the front door.
"I'm having a crisis." Minho then seemed to collapse down onto the ground where he laid with his limbs spread across the hard wood floor, looking up longingly. His vision of the ceiling was quickly obscured as his father knelt beside him with a disappointed head shake.
"Is it a girl?" His father watched Minho's face turn a little cold as he rolled his eyes to the side. "Oh! I'm sorry! A boy? Is it a boy?" A sigh left Minho. At least his father was trying to be supportive, even if he was still trying to get his head around Minho's preferences.
"Yes, it's a boy." His father adjusted beside him on the floor, taking a seat beside his outstretched arm.
"Loves hard-" An offended gasp was heard after the man's words as Minho corrected him.
"Hey! I'm not in love with him!" A chuckle was heard from his father.
"Okay okay, well whatever it is you're feeling, it is hard. Especially if it's the first time, it's confusing. Just...be honest with yourself, be honest with the people you care about." Minho sat up to give his dad a quick hug. That speech was a little cheesy, but it was actually exactly what he needed to hear. Just be honest, surely he could do that.
"Besides if things go wrong I'll make you a huge cake, congratulating your failure." Minho gave his father a playful push as he got up from the ground.
Minho thanked his dad and waved him goodbye as he walked the path to Jisung's house.
