neuf!

Two weeks seemed to disappear. I spent most of my time caring for my mini-me whenever Martha allowed me. Most of the time, she chased me away because I had some alpha duties. Luke is currently dragging me away from that beautiful princess.

It is my birthday today and also the big ball. Luke tried to surprise me with breakfast in bed, but he didn't know I already left to visit little Lexi.

"You know, I don't like Lexi that much. She steals you away to often and made me make you breakfast what you aren't going to eat."

Everyone is in love with Lexi, even jealous Luke. Luke picks me up and carries me to my home. I snuggle into him, knowing very well this is the last time we will ever be able to do something together for a hidden reason.

"It sucks that we have to go to school today," I say into Luke's shirt, knowing very well he heard me.

"Well luckily today is the last day that school is a requirement for you, so enjoy it."

Zeph attacks me as soon as she sees me, a guy trailing after her. I embrace my best friend, holding her tightly and she whisper-sings Happy birthday to me. She lets me go and gets on one knee, holding out a ring with a little moon on it.

"Alexis Kane, do me the honors to marry me and run away together?" she says enthusiastically.

"I do!" I pull out a ring with a little sun on it and pull her up and I get on my one knee. Before I can say anything she says yes and hugs me.  We put the rings on our middle finger. Giggling we joking run in circles. The guy who followed Zeph, just stands awkwardly and laughs at us.

"Right!" Zeph yells right next to my ear and holds her hand out for the guy to take, which he does, "Alexis, meet my mate Chris. Chris, this is my best friend Alexis. Remember she is my first and then you."

That statement made Chris growl and pulls Zeph closer. I take out my phone and take a photo of the two. Looking at the photo I just took, something in my brain clicked.

"Chris, you were the guy that waved at me some time ago."

He nods and says "Yeah, Zeph once pointed you out to me, but I never got the chance to introduce myself."

That makes sense. I start walking into the school building and to my locker, listening to the gossip around me. I catch Lyla's conversation.

"I heard Alpha Alex is going to be at the ball tonight. I hope we are mates. I can just imagine how sexy he must be. Oh his muscles must be drool worthy and the power he has.."

I stop listening to her as she goes in extreme detail what she would do to Alpha Alex, a.k.a. me! Thankfully Zeph starts talking to me.

"I heard Alpha Alex and Alpha Brad is going to the ball tonight, is it true?"

Zeph knows that I know Brad, hence she is asking me if its true. I nod simply once and that satisfies her. I see Luke coming towards us.

"Hey Zeph, Chris. Mind if I steal Alexis here?" he asks so innocently.

"Just don't do it in the supply closet again. If you guys get stuck again, you are on your own." Zeph warns us before walking away with Chris.

I roll my eyes and follow Luke outside to the front of the school, suddenly super confused as to why.

"You see, because Lexi stole your attention this morning I had to come up with a better gift. Go on boys!"

A group of guys come out of the school, playing a song I haven't heard of before. I laugh as Luke grabs my waist and starts dancing with me. Of course, embarrassment is his back up plan.

I rest my head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat. Enjoying the last few moments of being his unofficially official girlfriend. 

"I wish you well, Alex. I hope your mate treats you right and I hope you enjoy every moment with him. You are going to be a great alpha," he whispers softly only for me to hear.
