We left Martha to deal with her children again. She gave Alexis two of the Polaroids after she written something on them.

Alexis and I are slowly making a way back to the pack house. Our hands touching every now and then, sending shockwaves through my body and hers as well.

Alexis P.O.V.

I shiver slightly when Hunter's hand grazed over mine. For some reason, we are really holding onto not making us public and I kind of like it.

The whole "my alpha brought a strange guy to my house and I invited him for coffee" is actually quite appealing. The pack members he met are probably the worst critics and yet they all liked him.

We got to the pack house, making our way into the house and plopping down on the couch next to each other. Hunter's hand finally makes its way into mine. We intertwine our fingers, I rest my head on his shoulder and shifts a bit to make it more comfortable for me.

"Martha told me to give you one of the photos. She said it's probably the best picture she ever took."

I take out the Polaroids out of my jean back pockets. Showing the picture where we are holding the triplets, my hand on his chin, looking at each other and the other one where we are kissing.

He takes both pictures and studies it.

"I like them both."

He flips them over, putting them next to each other to complete the message and reads it out loud.

"A lover's kiss is sweet and tender, Alexis and Hunter is meant to be together."

He flips them over to look at the photos again before giving them to me.

"You should keep both. There is no need to break up that message."

"How about I keep my favourite and you take the other one? Martha would not have given to me if I wasn't going to give you one."

"Alright. Give me one then."

I hand him the one where we're looking at each other. Keeping the kissing one for myself. I put it back in my back pocket, afraid that he might want to switch.

He takes the photo, smiling putting it into his pocket.

"I'm not going to lie, but no photo is ever going to beat any other moment with you."

My heart skips a beat realising that he is actually being corny. I let out a gross snort, which Hunter mimics almost immediately.

He looks at me, still smiling big. He runs his finger down my face and boops my nose.

"You are the most beautiful being I have ever seen, Alexis."

"Likewise. Hunter." He squeezes my hand. The world dissolved around us and I can concentrate on if him.

"Alexis Nicole Veltri," he tests my name to his surname.

"Hunter Veltri," I say softly, remembering who he was suppose to be.

"Alpha Alex," the world comes back slowly, his words reminding me who I was. A murderer. A family destroyer. I let go of his hand and move a bit away from him. Hunter looks confused and reaches for me, but I move away from him even more.

"Alexis, what's wrong?"

I stand up, not able to handle my emotions. My wolf getting on edge, getting angry because I'm pushing away our mate.

"How can you be fine with us? Me!? I killed your father, your mother killed herself because of me. You lost your home and right to a pack. I shouldn't be here. I don't deserve to be here."

Before he can say anything, I shift and run out into the forest. Leaving reality behind and only focus on being myself. Being my wolf.
