No one dares to move a muscle. My wolf getting annoyed that no one is reacting. I put the mic down and turn to Luke sending silent plea of help and then exits the stage, but not the same way I came up, I left behind the curtains.

I found myself outside, hearing murmuring coming from inside the hall. I take off my shoes and feel the cold grass beneath my feet. How nature can calm me down is a wonder? Well not really.

I hear a door open and close and someone walking towards me. I know its Luke so I don't turn around. I keep walking away from the hall with Luke silently following tow. Another presence joins us and Luke talks to the person in a hushed voice, I turn around to see the girl that Luke made out with inside.

The girl freezes and does a weird courtesy/bow thing, before Luke rescues her by puling her up straight.

"Alpha Alex, this is my mate, Blaire." Luke smiles as he says her name looking at her and kissing her forehead. I walk to Luke and smile.

"Nice to meet you, Blaire, I'm happy Luke finally found his mate." She smiles and hugs Luke.

"And I'm happy I found him. Uhm, Alpha Alex, mind if I borrow Luke for a moment?" Luke starts to disagree and explains that he cannot leave me.

"He can go with you. Just keep him sane and safe."

Luke wants to argue, but I give him a stern look and he sighs and turns around with his mate and head back inside. After they are out of sight, I smell that familiar cherry scent and I follow it. I spot my mate and he sees me.

"So my mate," he begins as I walk closer to him, "is an alpha and the girl my brother practically drools about. Alexis, you keep me on my toes, don't you?"

"Well, at least I don't throw punches out of the blue to test my reflexes, Bradley." His smile widens and he puts his hands on my waist, pulling my closer to him. I put my arms around his neck.

"And I thought I told you to call me Lexi?"

"You did, I just wanted to make sure you are the real Lexi."

That got me confused, but the confusion stopped when he kissed me. Soft warm lips against mine, he pulls me closer and holds me tight.

It would be only natural for a moment like this to be ruined. Brad and I know that, we both are on our guard. I break the kiss and snuggle into his shoulder, feeling content and happy. Brad is still holding onto me tightly as if I am about to disappear. I never felt safer than in Brad's arms, I never felt more at home.

Home.
Home...
HOME!!

It then dawned on me that we are not a normal werewolf couple. He is an alpha and so I am, neither of us are really in the position to leave our packs for one another. I pull away from Brad, trying to think of a way of telling him that. Brad notices how my mood has shifted and looks worrisome.

"Lexi, is everything okay?"

"Yeah, well no."

I pull away from Brad, only to see Luke approaching us. His mate nowhere to be seen. I walk passed Brad towards Luke and hug him, trying not to cry.

Knowing Brad and Luke shared a confusing look, Luke just tried to his best to calm me.

"Okay, I have some troubling news," Luke clears his throat, trying to buy time, "Lexi is at the hospital, Martha noticed that she was turning slightly blue and saw that Lexi wasn't breathing. So they left immediately for the hospital, but don't worry, Martha promised to keep us updated and actually told me not to tell you."

My wolf howls knowing a pack member is unwell and urges me to leave. I try and calm her, staying in my human form, not trying to overreact, but to now avail.

A growl escapes my lips and Luke steps away from me, allowing my wolf to take full control and shift.

I shift into my wolf and start running away from my mate and beta and towards the hospital. No pack member should be in the hospital without their Alpha to stand by their side.
