The college reunion night hadn't even been that bad but it was definitely something Eireen or even Azra, and Astrid wouldn't repeat so soon; with any luck, they would only remember to do another one in ten years when the three of them had already moved or were too busy to waste time in meetings like that... Or when they were old ladies and the three of them were sitting on couches in a retirement home and playing bingo was more important than a boring reunion. The girl with black hair was not wrong, five years had passed and few had changed or had an interesting life today, most had a peaceful or boring life.
The girls after the big news of Astrid and Sungjin were quickly excited and wanted to know all the details and plans that they had already thought up and obviously wanted to be part of them. The wedding would be in three months. Enough time for Sehun to find a date not to go by himself, and for some reason that was bothering Eireen; as well as the fact that Doyoon, her ex-boyfriend, had now been in a relationship with Belle for a year and three months. Maybe because she's the only one in the group to be single and going by herself, almost made her feel ashamed. Eireen rolled her eyes while looking at the ground simply because she couldn't stand to see him with Belle. She knew she shouldn't feel that way, but she couldn't help it.
Doyoon was Eireen's longest relationship and ended with the simple justification of "I'm not ready for a more serious relationship". The couple wasn't on the same page which led to the end. For someone who's only 5'2", Eireen is very competitive. She is always in the pursuit of "something better", whether traveling, a new career path, a better change of lifestyle and this was what she normally gave more value and put in priority. She still doesn't have the ability to manage an individual and joint life. Not to mention the times she said she felt suffocated and stuck. However, it was a quiet conversation in which they both agreed, it was not fair for the girl to hold him in a relationship that in her perspective no longer had a future while he was struggling to make it last. But now, for some reason, whenever she saw them together there were times that made her want to scream or leave the room but she couldn't. Eireen was connected to both of them by the simple fact that they were a group of friends. Doyoon is Astrid's fiancé best friend who in turn grew up with Kai; and as Astrid and Azra's best friend, it was kind of hard to avoid him.
It was a new day. Eireen, when she arrived at work, passed through a room that had been closed for a few weeks since the company director fired the last digital marketing manager. Rivers of money was spent on campaigns and the last manager had very little notion of analytics and never, but never made a right decision about how to leverage existing resources. The dark-haired girl was quickly curious, it just meant they had found someone for his position and she wanted to know who it was. Eireen quickly looked ahead and headed to her office, opening the door and closing right behind her back.
Inside the office was Sehun, putting his black bag on his new desk and sitting in his chair. The company's new digital marketing manager. The position itself already had a strong knowledge of data analystics, and Sehun was the best of his former agency and had been successfully transferred to the Kai and Eireen company. He looked around with a satisfied look stamped on his face as he shook his head.
Leaning against the back of his chair with his elbow resting on the arm of the chair making his hand support the weight of his head whiletapping with the tip of the ballpoint pen on the wooden table as he looked at the computer monitor looking at the files the company director had sent him to see what he could do not to throw thousands of money in the trash until he heard a repetitive tapping on the door. Sehun takes his gaze towards the door seeing Kai with a smile.
"So you're the new manager of this department that Mr. Park has been talking so much about." Kai said with a grin as he entered into the room. Sehun raised an eyebrow, surprised.
