Chapter Twenty-Three

Although the girl's new position was good, she had more advantages and had a new power, a final word in the company's decisions and the fact that she was bragged by several colleagues and Mr. Park, the girl was always full of work as Sehun was always saying and she was always complaining, and still took work home to finish on time.Fortunately, she was able to finish everything on Saturday after being with Sehun. On Sunday she did absolutely nothing but take several naps throughout the day. She decided not to put pressure on her relationship with Seth, her cat, leaving him at ease and letting him adapt to the house and to her. On Sunday she walked into the living room and sat on the sofa, talking in a calm voice; Seth lifted his head looking at her and took a while to answer the girl. Taking his time and repeating the process, he got up from where he was and walked over to the girl and started purring. 

It was Monday again and Eireen fell asleep. She woke up alarmed from bed and ran out to the bath and grabbed the first suit she found and left for work. At the company, Kai and Sehun had already arrived and had been together in the break room drinking coffee and talking until they both split up and went each to their office. Sehun warned his friend that he was almost done with the project and that before he went to deliver it to Eireen he would stop by his office. Kai nodded his head and went to his side. In the middle of the day Kai left the office and went looking for a colleague from his department and decided to go to the reception and ask the girl in there if he had arrived or if he would even show up; he walked with his hands in his pockets and approached the counter waiting for her to show up when he felt someone tapping him on the shoulder. Kai turned around watching Doyoon in fact, probably going to work too and was surprised but quickly wrapped his friend in a hug. 

"Hey, what you doing here?" 

 "Hey. I just came to talk with Eireen, do you know if she's here?" Doyoon asked his friend. Kai raised an eyebrow and shook his head. 

"I haven't seen her yet." Kai answered. "May I ask why you came to see her?"

"Just to talk really, it's been a while."

"Well, I haven't seen her yet, but you can go up to the seventh floor and ask her secretary." Kai suggested.  

"Thank you. See you around."

Doyoon thanked him and walked to the elevator. Kai looked at his friend with a confused look until he woke up from his thoughts with the girl calling for him, he looked back once and turned around asking about his colleague. The girl said she hadn't seen him yet and Kai thanked her and took the opportunity to ask her for some documents he needed and the meeting schedule to find out when would be next one. The girl shook her head, sitting in the chair and taking the calendar sheet and handing it to him while she went through the computer looking for what he needed.

Already finished, Kai returned to his office and resumed what he was doing. He kept wondering why Doyoon had come to Eireen when they both went to Astrid's wedding but instead barely spoke to each other. Kai's office door opens and Sehun walks in with some portfolios in his hand, Kai looks at him. 

"I'm glad you're here." Kai said as he sees Sehun approaching him. "Have you been with Eireen today?" He asked.

"No, why? I was stuck in my office until now." Sehun answered confused by his friend question, 

"Doyoon came by a few minutes go asking about her saying he wanted to talk to her."

"Doyoon? Her ex?" He asked as he raised his eyebrow. 

"Yes, that one." Kai confirmed with a nodded. 

"That's weird." Sehun muttered and glanced at Kai. "Why would he come to talk with her? Do you think she called?"
