(Darry's POV)

No. I would never cheat on Mack. I saw the look on her face when Soda told her. It broke my heart. She didn't cry, or yell. She just looked betrayed and hurt.

I went to go grab her hand. She pulled away. She looked me in the eyes and I melted. I didn't cheat. I would never hurt my sunshine. She's my everything.

-Earlier that Day-
(Sodapop's POV)

I went to visit Darry at work. He was on his lunch break. He was talking to a girl. She wasn't prettier than Mack. And I'm damn sure she wasn't a better person.

I was going to say hello to them when she pulled him in for a kiss. He didn't pull away. I left as soon as I saw. I ran home and started crying.

I was cheated on. I know how terrible it is. I know how awful Sandy was. Mack helped me through everything. She was amazing. How could my own brother be the monster? How could he hurt such a perfect girl? How could he cheat on her for that other girl?

I didn't even notice how lost in thought I was until Mack wrapped me in a hug and dried my tears. I loved her. She calmed me down but I couldn't tell her yet. It took all of me not to kiss her and make it all better. So I just kissed her head and went to my room.

(Darrel's POV)

I was at work and went on my lunch break. My bosses daughter was there. I was enjoying lunch that Mack made and drinking some soda when she came up to me.

I decided to be nice to her and make small talk. Not just because she was my bosses daughter but because I wanted to be a nice person.

We were talking when she pulled me by my shirt and kissed me! Kissed me! I tried pulling away instantly but she held me there. Finally I pushed her off. I saw Sodapop running away. Shit.

"Why would you do that? I have a Fiancé who I am very much in love with!" I said to her and watched her face change. She stormed up to her dad. Here we go.

"Daddy! You said anyone of these boys would date me and he won't!" She pointed at me. My boss came up to me and asked, "why not Darrel? She's a great girl! You would love her! Take her on a date." I shook my head no.
"No sir. I have a fiancé who I love with all my heart and nothing will ever change that." He shook his head.
"Take her out or you're fired." He said with a sly look on his face.
"Then goodbye sir." With that I walked out and saw the shock on his face. I don't care how much I need the job. Mackenzie comes first.

I ran home to find her before Soda could tell her. She was sitting on the couch. She asked how work was and I just hugged her. I never wanted to loose this girl. I kissed her head and went to find Soda.
