(Soda's POV)

Mack left. The poor girl was so upset. But I couldn't just not tell her. Darry looked at me and he was so upset.

"Why did you tell her that...? You don't even know what happened..." he choked up. Next thing I knew Darry was crying, CRYING. He sat on the couch and cried into his hands, I messed up.

"What happened then?" I was still going to protect Mack. He looked up at me while crying.
"My bosses daughter kissed me and I pulled away. You were already gone. I told her that I have a fiancé that I love and when my boss told me that I had to take her out or he'd fire me so, I quit." My jaw dropped. Darry has always thought of work first. He must really love Mack.

Darry got up and left. The truck started up and he was gone.

(Darrel's POV)

I hope she's where I think she is. I needed her to know the truth. I got to the little trail and went down. I heard a familiar crying. Mack. I went over and sat next to her. She looked at me and cried harder. She didn't even try to move away.

"W-Why'd you d-do it?" She looked so hurt. I wiped the tears from her eyes.
"I didn't sunshine I promise. I explained everything to Soda and I'll explain it to you too." She nodded slowly. I explained everything and she hugged me. I picked her up and placed her in my lap. I held her so tight I didn't know how she was breathing.

"I'm sorry Dar. I should've known." I just shushed her and kissed her cheek.
"How could you have?" I felt her softly cry into me. I hated seeing her like this, broken.

I picked her up bridal style and carried her to the truck. She sat with me the whole ride home. I didn't care. I wasn't letting her go for a second.

(Mackenzie's POV)

Darry explained everything and I felt much better. We went home and we talked everything out. Anything that was bothering us, either work, because he's fired, or anything else. Then Darry came up with an idea.

He was going to start his own roofing company! He always knew how to better the company he was working at but they never listened to him. Now he could make a difference.

I was so happy! "When are we gonna start thinking of this?" I asked Darry. He was really stressed but I could see his excitement leaking through.
"Could we start now?" He smiled. I nodded and gave him a kiss.
"Let's do this!" We high-fived and started to think.

Darry was one of the best people at the old company. He knew exactly what to do! We started planning and Pony helped us with making it realistic. He helped us with math and basically worked as an accountant. Darry was so excited, it made me so happy.
