Here Comes The Sun

-2 Months Later-
4 am.
(Mackenzie's POV)

Me and Darrel are engaged! I love him with all my heart! I have no doubts that he's the one for me! He's so sweet and caring and I love him so much.

We're already starting to plan our wedding. We obviously have our wedding song already, You Are My Sunshine. And we're using Sunflowers for the wedding. We're still deciding on food. But we don't even have a date set yet.

We know we want it in the fall, we just don't know when. We were thinking of putting it on our already existing anniversary, September 19. We just wanted to think it over more.

Pony's been having a hard time in school. Darry's been pretty rough on him but calms down for Soda and his sake.

I was staring at the ceiling. Dar was asleep holding me. He always holds me tight to him and I love it. Makes me feel safe. My legs were starting to hurt and I was getting antsy. I tried getting comfortable but I needed to move.

I tried getting out of his grip but he holds me like he'll loose me if he doesn't. It's really cute anyway. I slowly moved his arms and he rolled over. I just smiled and snuck outside the room.

I walked out onto the porch quietly and looked at the stars. After 5 minutes I heard shuffling behind me and I looked to see Darry dragging his feet to me. He came and held me from behind, resting his head on my shoulder.

He was watching me and playing with my hair. I could tell he was trying not to fall asleep.
"Aren't they beautiful?" I looked to the stars.
"Never more beautiful than you." He kissed my temple and I smiled. "I love you BabyGirl."
"I love you too." We snuggled on the porch for a minute before he picked me up bridal style and carried me back to his room.

We laid down and started cuddling. Instantly he was asleep. I softly kissed his head and I slowly fell asleep.

-Morning-

I woke up without Darry beside me. I looked around the room and saw the door open. Darry came in holding breakfast and coffee for us. I smiled and he gave me a kiss.

"Thank you sunshine." I said. He kissed my head and sat in front of me. We sat and talked for a while without the boys which was really nice. We haven't had a lot of time together because of work and the boys.

We laughed and joked before we had to get ready for work. I got into the shower while Darry finished breakfast for everyone else. I heard the door open.

"Dar?" There was no answer. "Dar stop you're freaking me out!" I peeked my head around with shampoo all in my hair to see Darry laughing. I smiled and he made fun of my shampoo head.
"Oh shut it." I said.
"Never Sunshine. You are soapy-head!" I laughed and so did he.
"How is it that you can make fun of me over showering?" He just chuckled as a response. I stopped the shower and got out.

Darry whistled earning a mean look from me. Me and Darry have been intimate a few times so this was nothing new. "Someone's grouchy." He laughed and I tried not too. "Ooh sunshine's gonna laugh!" I hit his arm and we both laughed. I went to finish getting ready.
