I was finally with Jared. It felt like a dream. Everything was so perfect. His perfectly terrible jokes, pac-man tees, his nerdy and adorable glasses, his perfect hair, and his beautiful eyes all made me want to burst. He was so perfect, and I couldn't believe I was with him.

We had been dating for one year today.

The last year had been so unbelievably amazing. It felt like nothing could ever make me not love him. Nothing could tear us apart. Nothing would stop us. It was us against the world and it was amazing.

However, when we graduated, we went off to college. And now here we were, stuck in a long distance relationship. We didn't get to see each other much at all. He was in a whole other state. He was so far away. I missed him every second of every day. We tried to call almost every night, but sometimes one of us would fall asleep early. Normally me, which I felt terrible about.

Soon it would be Summer break, maybe then I could go see him. I just missed him. We haven't seen each other since school started. Nine long months. Today was our anniversary, and I wouldn't get to see him.

There was a knock on the door to my dorm, I assumed it was just my roommate (who forgot his key all the time). I walked over slowly and sadly. I was wearing black skinny jeans and a blue sweatshirt. I opened the door, and there stood Jared Kleinmen.

In all his glory, he stood there in skinny jeans, a tucked in pac-man tee shirt, a peach button up over it, with flowers in his hands. "The insanely cool Jared Kleinmen is in the building!"

"Jare-Bear!" I threw my arms around him.

"Don't call me that." He said sternly, but hugged me back just as tight.

I pulled away slightly so I could see his face. "I missed you so much, Jared."

His face softened, all humor gone. "I missed you too," He kissed me passionately, and eventually we had to pull away for air. He smiled and handed me the flowers. I blushed and took them, smelling them before putting them in a vase on the desk next to my bed. He pulled in his suitcase next to my bed and I attacked him with another hug. He wrapped his arms warmly around me.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming?" I smiled into his shoulder.

"I wanted to surprise you. It's more fun to just show up and hope you don't get kicked out," I could feel his smirk.

"I could have planned something, or at least looked presentable." I pulled away and grossly looked down at my clothing. I hadn't planned on going out.

"What do you mean? You look as beautiful as ever, if not more." He kissed me again sweetly, and I felt the world stop. "How about a tour? I've never been here, show me around. Show me all your favorite places, and later we can come back here and enjoy ourselves a little more..."

"JARED!" My face flushed bright red.

"A movie, popcorn, and cuddles babe," He chuckled and I sighed and giggled a little myself. "That leads to more.." He finished.

I shook my head and chuckled. I grabbed his hand and lead us out the door. It was good to have him back.
