(Jared)

I was in a field. The moonlight shone down on the multicolored flowers and the green grass of the field. I was sitting against a tree. It's branches hung low over me. The sky was littered with stars, unlike the city sky I was used to seeing.

A figure was standing in the center of the field. "Evan?" I called out his name. He turned quickly, smiling at me. His hands were in the pockets of his skinny jeans. His blue and white striped polo shirt added color to his figure. His brown hair and eyes shone against the moonlight. His smile was dazzling, as always.

I smiled and stood up, walking towards him. He waited as I stepped closer. He only smiled at me sweetly, not saying a word. "Evan, where are we?"

"Don't you remember?" He tilted his head to the side gently, his smile faltered. A small frown on his lips.

"Remember what?" I asked, somewhat mimicking his movements with my own.

"The field, the picnic, the proposal.. the breakup?"

When he said the words, everything came rushing back.

"I think we should break up,"

"The distance, it's too hard."

I passed out and fell to the ground as he was walking away, screaming his name.

"What happened? This isn't the same field. You aren't wearing the same clothes. Evan was wearing a blue sweat shirt, black skinny jeans and converse. You have on a polo. Who are you?Where am I?"

"In your subconscious, Jared,"

"What do you mean? What the fuck does that mean?" I raised my voice a little.

"Jared, you're in a coma,"
