The feeling of someone petting my head woke me up. I lifted my head and saw Jon watching me sleep. I shyly smiled and he chuckled at me

"You must've been really comfortable because you were out.  I've been trying to wake you up for a while, but I finally gave up because you just wouldn't move."

"What time is it?"

"Late. Like 10am"

"Oh. I'm sorry Jon. You probably wanted to take a shower, get up or eat or something."

"No no Maddy it's fine. I don't mind."

He was right though. I was really comfortable. I hadn't slept like that in a long time. I just felt completely safe and comfortable with Jon. I didn't even feel that way in my own home and bed. I sat up and looked around the room. Last night felt like such a blur. Like it had happened ages ago. Jon got up and unblocked the door to his bedroom and poked his head out before finally walking out. I sat and waited for him to come back while thinking about how much trouble I'm going to be in once I got home. I saw my phone on a little table by the foot of the bed. I crawled over and picked it up. I had a million messages from my mom....at least it was her and not my dad. Jon grabbed me from behind and it made me squeal. I had been concentrating and I didn't pay attention to when he came back

"You look cute in my shirt"

"Thanks. Speaking of shirts where's mine?"

"Over there, but you can't have it yet."

"Oh really? Why is that?"

"Because I want to know if you'll come with me to an HWA show tonight?"

"HW...what?"

He pulled out a small yellow flyer and handed it to me. I looked it over and then handed it back to him. I wasn't much into "professional" wrestling, but I wanted to go anyway. I just wasn't exactly sure how much trouble I was in for last night. I looked up at him and he was staring at me with an incredibly cute grin on his face. I couldn't help but smile back and laugh a little.

"I want to go, but I don't know how much trouble I'm going to be in."

"Call right now"

"Jon...I...."

"Pleeease Madison?"

He was giving me a goofy grin and attempting to give me puppy dog eyes. It was adorable and hard to resist. I blushed and laughed a little

"Jon, you saw the bruises and welts....that was just from being 5 minutes beyond my curfew. We're talking snuck out of the house and spent the night in the same bed with a boy. I practically ran away. I...just...my dad...ya know?"

"Can't you just try Maddy?"

He wrapped his arms around my waist and held me against him. I blushed slightly and smiled. He'd never acted this way towards me before. It was always just pretty casual and friendly. He was treating me like his girlfriend, but he didn't want to be with me like that. It was so confusing.

"I'll protect you Maddy. I'm right here"

I sighed deeply and called my mom. My heart was pounding in my chest and I could hear it thudding in my ears as I waited for her to pick up. PLEASE don't pick up! PLEASE!!

"Madison Connors where have you been?"

"Sorry mom. I had a friend who needed me"

"Do you realize what you've done? Hmm? I had to take your brother to school today wondering what possible ditch my 16 year old daughter was laying in. Where are you now?"
