Zoella POV

I'm in a real mess right now; I can't believe I'm stuck with this guy for what feels like an eternity, and all he does is complain. This place is a nightmare—there's no hotel in sight, and it's eerily quiet; not a single person or car around, just this heavy silence. "You should get some sleep, you look tired," he said, his voice raspy as he shifted a bit. What's going on with him? One moment he's furious with me, and the next he's acting all calm and collected. The lodge he built isn't exactly spacious, but we're making do.

"You do realize it's 5 o'clock, right? 5 PM. And you're telling me to sleep?" I plopped down next to him, but he didn't say a word, which was so unlike him. The Zavion I met not long ago would have definitely shot back a snarky comment. "Hey, hey, are you okay?" I asked, placing my hand on his back, and he felt surprisingly warm. "Can you hear me?" I tried again, but when I attempted to help him up, I struggled since he was much bigger than I am.

I finally figured out how to get him to look at me, but his face was pale, his lips matched the color, and his eyes were shut tight. He was breathing slowly, which sent a chill of fear through me; I couldn't call for help in the pouring rain, and there was no one around. I took off the jacket he had given me. With no lighter to start a fire or keep him warm, I decided to go old school. I stripped off my clothes and unbuttoned his soaked shirt, pulling him close so our bodies were pressed together. I really hoped this would help because I had never been naked in front of anyone, not even Alex. A few minutes ticked by, and then I remembered something he said just two hours earlier. He told me to take care of myself and handed me his jacket, even though he was the one who really needed it. That thought made me smile; he truly was a gentleman, and he looked so peaceful while he slept.

"Why are your boobs out?" I shot up from the ground as soon as I heard that booming voice; it completely caught me off guard. Quickly, I grabbed my clothes from the floor and put them on, feeling a wave of embarrassment wash over me. He turned his head to glance at me, then back again, clearly amused. "And why is my shirt unbuttoned?"

I couldn't help but roll my eyes. "A simple thank you would suffice, you know. I just saved your life, Mr. Gutierrez, not that I was trying to take advantage of you."

He let out a chuckle, clearly unfazed. "I bet you didn't even check the size of my..." He looked down before staring at me. "Did you?"

"What the hell? I'm not a creep! And just so you know, you passed out."

His grin widened. "That's not how I remember it. All I know is I woke up to... to... That." He pointed at my breast and I cringed at his choice of words.

"Can you please stop saying that'? I think the rain has finally let up."

He pulled out his phone, cleared his throat, and said, "Still no signal."

"Well, we could hike to the fueling station to get some gas. What do you think?"

He nodded in agreement. "I would have suggested that too, but it's a long way, and I doubt you can handle the trek," he said, eyeing my legs. "Not even in those shoes."

I glanced down at my wedges and realized he had a point. "So, what's your plan for getting us out of here then?"

"I don't really have a plan, or even a backup plan, so we're just going to have to hang tight until Ethan shows up or the service gets back online." I felt a bit awkward sitting next to him after he caught a glimpse of my chest, but the discomfort in my legs was too much to ignore, and I think he picked up on that. "Why don't you take a seat?" he suggested.

"No, um, thank you," I stammered.

"Alright then, suit yourself, missy."
