Zoella POV

Chloe arrived at father's hidden warehouse, and the moment she heard Alex's voice, she froze in place. Turning to face him, she shot him a cool glance and asked, "What made you think it was okay to move my sister out of the house?"

Alex responded with a dismissive smirk, "Did I need your approval to take action?"

Chloe retorted, "You had no right to bring her here."

With a chilling calmness, Alex replied, "I've extracted the information I needed from her. Now, it's time to finish her off," as he aimed the gun at Chloe. Fear coursed through me, paralyzing me in that moment; I couldn't bear the thought of dying without confessing my love for Zavion.

Chloe seized the gun and knelt before me, her expression softening as she whispered, "Goodbye, sis," planting a gentle kiss on my forehead. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I searched her eyes for understanding.

"Please, don't do this. Not until you uncover Alex's true intentions," I pleaded.

"I don't want to kill you because of Alex," she replied, her voice trembling.

"Then why are you going through with this?" I asked desperately.

"I love Zavion, and if he finds out about you, I'll never be accepted by him."

Alex's voice cut through the tension, demanding, "Just shoot her already!"

To my astonishment, Chloe shouted back, "You don't control me!" It was a side of her I had never witnessed before.

In a rush of urgency, I blurted out, "Alex killed Mom and caused the accident!" I needed to stop her from making a grave mistake. "I never put you in a coma; Alex did that out of revenge against Dad."

Chloe's disbelief was palpable as she retorted, "I can't trust you. You'd do anything to survive, and you don't even remember everything... Yes, I see that your memory is hazy, but stop the lies."

"I'm being honest with you, Chloe. I can easily pack my bags and leave this town for good, allowing you to be with Zavion, but Alex made it clear to me before you arrived that he wants you out of the picture too, all so he can seize control of our father's estate."

"You promise me that if I spared your life, you would vanish from this town forever?"

"I swear it, Chloe. I will go far away." In a sudden burst of emotion, she stood up and aimed the gun at Alex, who was gazing out the window.

"You destroyed my family!" she shouted, her frustration evident as she stepped closer to him.

"Calm down, babe, what are you doing?" he replied, seemingly unfazed.

"Can't you see I'm aiming this gun at you?" she retorted, reinforcing her grip with her other hand.

"I get that, but you should be directing that anger at her, not me. She's the one who messed up your life, remember?" He attempted to reason with her.

"No, you are the one who ruined my life. She revealed everything you said to me," Chloe cried.

"And when did you start taking her word over mine?" Alex shouted.

"I should have trusted her from the moment I woke up and stepped out of that bed. I can't believe the man I loved is the one who killed my family and shattered my existence."

"Your father was the one who destroyed my life first!" he finally exclaimed.

"So she was right all along. You wiped out half of her memories, dated her, and then shifted the blame onto her because of my dad's actions?"
