Chapter 21 (Dinner)

I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I sit on my bed for a while before going to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Then I walk to the kitchen and see if I can help my mom with anything.

"Good morning" I said as I hugged her from behind. She brush my hair and I just put my chin on her shoulder.

"Are you okay?" She asked me.

I look at her weirdly.

"Why did you ask that?" I answered her question by giving another question.

"Well, lately you look gloomy and you lost your appetite. When you lost your appetite, that's mean you were facing some trouble. Want to share it with me?" She ask as she turn her face to me and rub my face.

I didn't notice that I look gloomy lately. Yeah of course the problem between me and Harris affect me a lot. Never knew that my mom would be notice about my sudden change of behaviour.

"I got some problem with Harris, but today we will meet and solve the problem together" I explain to her.

She stares at my eyes before giving me the most beautiful and comforting smile to me. My mom is the best mom in the world. I would do anything to make her happy.

"Mom?" I called her.

"Hummm?" She answered.

"Do you think someone deserves a second chance even though the mind keep doubting that person?" I asked her.

She thinks for a while before giving me an answer.

"Yanna, sometimes we gave someone chance not because they deserve it but because we want to prove to ourself about who they really are to our life. Don't you think I ever gave your father a chance? I gave him a lot and he never use it properly and that give me the answer for the question that always lingering in my mind. Whether he love me or not, and guess what's the answer? I know it when he leave us" She replied and I could saw tears in her eyes.

I hugged her tightly and said thank you to her for raising us with love.

"Ahhh why do we make drama early in the morning? Go wake up your brother, they won't even bother to wake unless I wake them up"

I nod and walk to Dew and Day's room. I knock at Dew's door and as expected, nobody answer. I open the door and didn't see anyone in the room.

"He must be in Day's room, they always play game until they fall asleep" I said to myself.

I went to Day's room and as I assume, I saw Dew and Day sleeping on the floor side by side.

I want to wake them up properly but suddenly some bad idea across my mind. I wandered around the room to find a small container to fill it with water. Then I go to the bathroom. After the container is full of water, I take out my phone and open the alarm ringtone on the highest volume and put my phone besides their ear.

RINGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My alarm woke them up and they try to turn off my phone. Before they have the opportunity to do that, I splash the water to them.

YANNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are both screaming my name. I laughed loudly and run out from the room before they could caught me. Before I run out from the room, I shout

"Wake up you sleepyhead!!!! Mom ask me to wake you guys up. Byeee!!!"

Then I ran to the kitchen.

"What did you do?" My mom asked

"Just a normal thing a sister would do" I answered and wink my eyes to her. She just shook her head and continue preparing the breakfast.
