Chapter 13 (Remember me)

We pack all of our things and put our bags in the bus.

"Yan! Hurry up, our bus will move soon." Lara shout to me.

I look at my phone. Oat said he will arrive soon but I can't seem to see him anywhere. I tried to call him but he didn't pick up my call. I wildly look around the lobby and trying my best to spot him. Not long after that, I saw him running.

"You are late" I said to him.

"I'm sorry"

"So, why do you want to meet me?" I ask while looking at his appearance. Although it is hard for me to say it, but he is actually really handsome. Harris is handsome, but he is like double handsome. I shook my head and focus to what he want to say.

"Here" He said while giving me a keychain with cotton candy shape. Then he took out a bag full of sour candy.

"Wow! That's a lot of sour candy, and what a cute keychain!" I look at the keychain and go through the bag of candy.

"This keychain will make you remember about me. You don't like sweet things, but I do. So please take a good care of this keychain!" He said happily.

Suddenly I feel sad.

"Urmm.. I don't have anything to give to you" I said

"It's okay. Our memories is enough."

"No, it's not okay. You bought a lot of things for me. Wait for me, I will get something from my bag"

I ran to the bus and put all the things that Oat gave to me and take something from my bag.

"Here" I gave him my keychain.

"Frog?" He look at me confusedly.

"Well, this keychain is the most precious things for me. You gave me something that you like, and I give you something that I like. I like green, and you are so noisy like a frog. It match very well" I said while laughing softly.

He just smile at me sweetly.

"Urmmm... I'm sorry to interrupt, but our bus is ready to move now. Unless you want to stay here, you can continue your conversation with P'Oat" Said Lara.

"Byee Oat, see you when I see you" I said to him before I ran to the bus. I could saw he wave his hand to me.

In the bus, Lara look at me intensely.

"What?" I ask her.

"Why did P'Oat gave you all this?" She ask while showing all of the stuff that Oat gave to me.

"Farewell gift? Forget about me, I demand you to tell me about you and Sammy"

Lara showed her teeth and starts to tell me about her and Sammy.

Lara's POV

I walk to the lobby as Sammy keep sending text to me about meeting him at lobby. He is such a nuisance. He kept bothering me since the first year. What Yan said is true, Sammy is indeed a handsome man, he is also kind to everybody. The only reason that I don't accept him is I don't think that he is serious with me.

"Lara!" He shout at me.

I stomp my feet as I walking to him.

"What is the important thing that you want to say to me?" I ask him.

"Do you want to go out with me tonight? For a dinner?" he ask me. I look at him disbelief.

"You ask me to come here just to ask that? Why can't you just text me?"

He smiled at me and casually put his hand on his pocket.

"Urghh.. Fine, I will see you tonight." I said and walk away from him.

I leisurely sit on my bed while scrolling my IG until Yan suddenly storm into the room and quickly rush into the bathroom. I want to ask about her date but she gave a signal to wait until she finished shower.

After a few minutes, Yan got out of the shower and starts to get ready. I ask her where she wants to go and she said that Oat want to take her to dinner. After she leave the room, I starts to prepare myself for the dinner.

"Lara!" I could hear Sammy call me.

I walk to him and we walk to our grab car. He bring me to a simple restaurant and after the waiter take our order, I starts a conversation with him.

"So why did you suddenly want to ask me for a dinner?" I ask him.

"I feel like I want to" He answered.

I shrug and play with my phone.

"Lara" He call my name.

"Hurmm?" I replied without looking at his face but continue to focus on my phone.

"Why you never tried to accept me?" His question shock me. I look at him and I can see he is nervous for my answer.

"I thought you are not serious with me"

"I am serious with you, you might not see me in your life plan, but I see you in every planning of my life. Can you just try and accept me for once? If you still think that I'm not serious with you, then I will stop bothering you. How can you know that I'm not serious if you never tried? " He answered sincerely.

I take a deep breathe. Pheww, I was not expecting that. I never see this part of him before this. He always playing around and never serious with anything. Actually before this I got a boyfriend who act exactly like him. Kind, always goofing around but at the end he is the one who hurts me the most. I look at him and remembered what Yan said to me, it is time for me to move on. Not everybody is a jerk like my ex.

The person in front of me wait patiently for my answer. Then I gave him the answer that he want to hear for a long time ago.

"Okay" I answered shortly.

"Okay? Okay as in you are okay of being my girlfriend?" He ask excitedly.

"No, okay as in I will try to get to know you better before we move to another phase"

"That is more than enough for me, I will try my best to take good care of you" He said with a big smile plastered on his face.

Then we enjoy our food with hope that our future relationship will works.

"Wow Lara! That was amazing! Finally you move on from that jerk." I said to Lara. I really hate her ex. He always make Lara cry and sometime he even hit Lara.

"Yeah, I hope this time my relationship will works" She replied.

"Don't worry, if Sammy hurts you, just tell me. I will hit him for you" I said jokingly.

I could see that Lara will be happy with Sammy. I have known Sammy since the first year. For all this time, I could say that he is a nice guy. He may not be perfect, but at least he tried his best to be a good person.

I take out my earphone and listen to songs. Then a notification pop up from my phone and I see a message from Oat.

'Always remember me. Don't forget to text me when you already arrived'

'Wait, who are you? O_O' I replied.

'HA HA HA. Funny.'

I just read his text and leave it without reply anything. Then another notification pop up.

'Sleep already. Dream about me' He said.

'Nope, might be a nightmare. Okay, okay I will text you when I arrived at Malaysia. Now stop bothering me, I want to take a nap'

'Okay. Sleep well'

I closed my eyes and trying to sleep while listening to my song.
