I KNOW WHO I AM

CHAPTER 3 (The first meeting)

"Yann! Let's eat seafood!"

We decided to go to a place that is near to the hotel so that we are not lost. There is a night market near us and according to the review, their seafood is really fresh.

"Calm down Lara, don't run around. We are not used of this place" Lara keep running around, one second she is there and another second she is missing. I kept searching for her that I didn't realize I have bump into someone.

"Auchh, I'm sorry. I didn't see you" I said while rubbing my head.

"......."

When I didn't receive any respond from the person that I bump into, I look at him and try to speak other language. Well, it's normal if some people are not too fluent in English.

"hurmmm.. He looks like a Chinese people. Dui buqi? (I'm sorry)"

"........"

"Still no respond from him. Okay, pheww you can do this Yan! Mianhae? Maaf? Sorry? No sorry?" I tried Korean, Malay and English. Still no respond from him.

"Pfftttt Yan, you are in Thailand, of course you should try to speak in Thai. Khaww-Thoot Na-Kha?"

The guy in front of me start to respond. He smile back at me, I smile back at him and wave my hand to him as a signal of goodbye but then he stop me by pulling the end of my shirt.

"Oii, what do u want? Why did u pull my shirt?" I ask him. As expected, no respond from him. I sigh, I need to find my dumb friend and now I'm stuck with a stranger who can't speak English. I cleared my throat and try to speak to him with all the knowledge that I have.

"Pood-Pa-Sa Ang- Krit Da Mai?" I ask him if he can speak English.

"Mai-Chai-Krup" He replied which mean no.

"Okay, La-Gorn-Kha. I need to find my friend." I said goodbye to him and try to escape from him. Unfortunately, he block me. I'm started to feel irritated by him. I'm afraid that Lara would be wandering too far from me and it will be hard for me to find her. I pushed him and walk over him. He keep following me and I started to feel scared. What if he is a serial killer? Or maybe he want to do something bad to me? Oh nooooo...

I called Lara but she didn't pick up my call. I try my best to walk really fast and hid behind a wall. I saw that man walk pass by me.

"Pheww, what a day. He got a handsome face, but he is a pervert." I swipe my sweat and take a deep breath. Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder. My body start to tremble and I slowly turn to see who is behind me.

"Yannnnnnn!!!!" shout Lara.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!" I shout back and hit her shoulder.

"Auch, what the doodle chicken Yan! Why did you hit me?" Lara ask me and rub her shoulder.

"Why the heck did you shout at me? I have been searching for you and why didn't you pick up your phone you silly girl!!! Did u know that there is a pervert following me around? Let's go home now." I replied to her and drag her out of the market.

"But I haven't finished shopping yet. Nooooo... don't drag me away from here. My food is waiting for meeee" She starts to whine.

"No! You already have enough food. Look, there is plenty of food. How can you finished all of this?" I ask her.

"Heeee.. I have you, we can eat together." She blink her eyes rapidly and starts making a cute face.

"Don't try to make a cute face to me. Come on, I'm tired. We got plenty of time here, we can try a lot of food somewhere else. Okay?" I try to negotiate with her. Honestly I'm very exhausted as I didn't get enough sleep.

Lara think for a while and then she agreed to go home.
