Chapter 25 (The Truth)

I stared at my phone while waiting for a call from Syahmi. He texted me yesterday and told me that he wanted to meet me. I was so anxious and somewhat I felt excited to meet him since I will finally get to know the truth about Harris.

Harris and I still contact with each other but we didn't meet yet. I kept all the question without even trying to ask him. I want to gather all the evidence before venting everything to him. I don't want to throw all accusations to him without having any proof. Besides, before this he got a special place in my heart, even if the truth hurts me a lot, I would be happy and relieve if all of this problem can be solved.

Not long after that, my phone vibrates. I pick up the phone and as I predict, it was from Syahmi. We decided to meet at the college café in the evening.

After ending our call, I gathered all my books and leave the library. I don't have many class today so I decided to finish up my assignment in the library. Furthermore, it's more convenient to do my work there since all the books can help with my research. While I was clearing up my table, a group of girls come to me.

I just ignored them because I think maybe they want to use the table since the other table seems full. But my guessing is wrong when one of them grab my shoulder and force me to sit.

I caught me off guard because I wasn't expecting that and my books almost fell from my grab.

"What are you guys doing?" I ask them while trying to release my shoulder from their grasp.

One of them smirk at me and drag the chair to sit beside me. I guess she is the leader for the group since all of the member seems obey to her.

"Do you know Harris?" She asked me. I look at her and I can't deny that she is indeed beautiful. With a fair skin and pinkish cheek and plump lips, all the boys might be crazy for her. But too bad, she got a bad attitude.

"Yes, he is my boyfriend" I answered firmly.

All of them laugh at me and I look at them confusedly.

"Poor girl, I didn't expect him to stay with you for more than two month but I'm shocked when I knew that he still hanging out with you. How can a handsome guy like him can stay with an ugly duck like you?" She said snobbishly. Her member support her by laughing along with her. I could tell that their laugh is fake and they do it just to please her.

"Why are you saying like that?" I asked her.

She smirk again. God! I wish I could slap her face, her smirk starts to annoy me. I just grit my teeth and try my best not to show them that I was affected by their action.

"Not only you are ugly, but stupid as well. Hahhh...... well I can't tell you that right now. Just stay dumb and be happy for what you have right now because it won't last long" She answered and then she caress my head and walk away from there.

I was dumbfounded. Did she just left me hanging like that? I can't believe it! Goshhh! Why suddenly there is a lot of girls that approached me because of Harris? There is a lot of question lingered in my head and that makes me become so impatient to wait for the evening to come and hear the explanation from Syahmi.

Finally the time has come and I already wait for Syahmi at the café. While waiting for him, I reply text that I receive from Harris. I might say that our relationship is at the edge of destruction, just wait for the right time and it will all over.

I sigh, how come our relationship become so complicated like this? I just want a happy relationship and living the best live of my life.

While I was zooming out thinking about him, Syahmi sit in front of me.
