A soft knock on the door woke him up again..............

Mattia instinctively pushed Kairi off of him, worried that his parents were going to come into his room. The startled and sleepy Kairi looked up at him with a confused expression.

K: Hey, I was comf-

M: Come in!

Mattia cut Kairi off mid-sentence and when Kairi realized that someone was at the door his eyes widened and he sat up. Mattia's mom entered the room.

MM: Hello boys, I just wanted to come and see how both of you are holding up.

M: We're good, thanks mom.

MM: How are you Kairi?

K: I'm ok, thanks Mrs. Polibio.

MM: Kairi please, call me Maria.

K: Right, Maria.

Maria Polibio smiled warmly at Kairi and he returned his best fake smile back.

MM: Right, so I'll leave you guys alone now, I also just have to tell you that tomorrow is Monday and your father and I have to leave tonight for a business venture in Venezuela, we'll be gone for about a week. You don't have to go back to school yet if you aren't ready but I think that it is something you should consider Kairi. You both could also use a bit of routine in your life if you know what I mean.

K: You're right, I'll think about it thanks.

Mattia's mom smiled and then quickly left the room. Mattia groaned and flopped back onto the bed.

M: I don't want to go back to school.

K: Yeah.

M: We don't have to go back until you're ready, you know that right?

K: I think we should go back tomorrow. Your mom is right, we need routine; besides, I could use a distraction from everything.

M: Only if you're sure.

Mattia stood up and changed out of his funeral outfit, into a pair of white sweatpants and a hoodie. Kairi also changed, feeling slightly self conscious as he felt Mattia's eyes on his ass.

K: Stop looking at my ass Mattia.

Kairi heard Mattia snort in laughter, causing Kairi to blush furiously.

M: Why? It's a really nice ass.

Kairi blushed again, his face turning dark red. He quickly put on a pair of sweatpants and a green hoodie before standing in front of Mattia with his arms crossed.

M: I'm serious babe. You have the best ass I've ever seen.

He's smiling, I haven't seen him smile in so long.

Kairi tried to keep himself from grinning but Mattia saw the faint smile on Kairi's lips.

M: C'mere baby.

Kairi uncrossed his arms and climbed into Mattia's lap, allowing himself to be cradled in Mattia's large arms. They sat in silence for a little while, each of them thinking about the other before Kairi spoke up, barely whispering.
