Ali's POV
Today at school, I tried to say hi to Jc, but he completely ignored me. Maybe he just doesn't see me. I am short after all. This better not end up as Jc playing me into being his friend and then treat me like dust.
Look, there he is now! I went over to his locker in which Jc and one of his friends were standing at. "Hi," I casually said as I walked past them. They obviously saw me since Jc gave me a dirty look. What's up with him? Whatever, lunch period. Great, time to be outcasted for real now. Note my sarcasm.
Going through the lunch line, I just grabbed an apple and water. I didn't feel like anything today, or any day. Lunch food just wasn't my thing. Especally in this hell house.
I sat at the only empty table in the corner. Which just so happens to make my back face Jc and the rest of the jocks. Those boys are utterly disgusting. They are known for one night stands. It's an insult to say I've dated one of them before and that turned out horrible. Just to think that all of the girls that they have minipulted, might have actually wanted to be a part of their lives, they pushed out just to get another lay.

And the worst part of it all is that I may be one of those girls.

I hate each and every one of them. The tables were so closely spaced I could hear all there pathetic conversations.
"What's up with you and that girl dude? She's kinda a loser no offense," the tall one, Kian, mumbled. Also the one with Jc at his locker earlier.
"Yeah she's an ugly whore, I'm not the least bit interested in that thing,"he scoffed back.
I gripped my apple tighter. I could feel the tears wanting to start. I pushed out my chair and turned around, opened my water and dumped it all over Jc.
"I guess the witch has to disappear some how!" I screamed before nailing him in the head with the apple. Laughter erupted from the cafeteria once everyone caught a glimpse of what I did.
I stormed out of the lunch room and into the bathroom stahl. I seriously thought Jc was different. The side he showed me yesterday was totally different compared to what I just heard him utter. I began to cry and feel worthless just like everyone else makes me feel. This is exactly why I didn't want to talk to him that night. Or open up to anyone. Everyone feels the need to target people that aren't as confident as the others. Sure I could act all prissy but I wouldn't even enjoy that. Crying isn't the thing to do. Jc is just a dick like all the others. This happens daily but why do I care so much when it comes from him?
Sometimes I think to myself about, well, myself. Confusing right? I always think about how everyone protrays me. Do you ever just feel humiliated in your own skin?

This school thing? Yeah, no. I'm done for the day. If my parents kill me or not for leaving early, I'm done going off other people's rules or opinions.

Jc's POV

Laughter laced through the the cafeteria once Ali dumped the water on me. I feel like such a jerk for saying those things about her. I just need to fit in. Kian rules the school with me and could be the first one to end my power. Why does it matter though? I'd rather have Ali more than anything, but she probably won't ever speak to me again for calling her that. I make myself sick. She's drop dead gorgeous in my eyes. How could I let popularity take over my mind so quickly?

Well we know one thing, that girl can throw.

Uh, I think I'm just gonna bail school here. I'm drenched thanks to Ali.

The cold clothe mixed with the breeze from outside made warm California seem to feel llike Alaska. I wouldn't be surprised if I caught a cold. I sound like such a mom right now.
I ripped my shirt off. The hot sun felt good on my wet skin. I combed my fingers through my wet hair.
I stopped dead in my tracks as soon as I saw Ali in the parking lot. Might as well apologize. I rushed over to her just for her to give me a emotion filled look, but, yet, her face was unreadable. She looked upset, angry, and worn. Oh how I wish I could fix her.
"Ali, look, I was j-" I started.
"You were what Jc?" She let out a fake laugh filled with hurt. "You were just casually shit talking me?"
"I, uh, didn't mean it..." I trailed off. My point was invalid. I was shit talking her for my benefit. I'm so shallow.
"That's what I thought," her pace sped up, but I managed to catch up. I caught her eyes wonder to my bare chest.
"Likin' what you see?" I joked.
"Not in the mood," she rolled her eyes.
"That apples gonna leave a bump," I replied.
"It better leave a bump," she retorted.
"Look Ali! I'm so so sorry! Please forgive me!" I pleaded.
"Let me think, thinking, thinking, no." she flat out said.
"Well isn't someone a-"
"I think you've called me enough names for one day," she crossed in front of me quickening her pace home.
We reasoned a little more and I think I convinced her enough of how sorry I truly am. However, I know she is just trying not to think about what had went on in the lunch room. She must be really hurt inside.

By now, we reached her house. It was about 12:30 pm at the time.
"What's today?" She asked while we walked up the driveway.
"Tuesday, why?"
"Oh, Francesa takes off Tuesday and Thursday's, that's all."
I gave her googely eyes and wiggled my eyebrows. She nervously laughed. It's fun teasing little innocent Ali.

You know you're in Ali's house when you take in a whiff of new leather mixed with vanilla. I changed into some spare gym clothes I had had in my locker.
"Want to do Homework or something?" She asked.
"No one does homework, babe, sorry to burst your bubble."
"Ok, well, I'll send you a postcard from Yahl," she pulled out her science book. I let a chuckle escape my lips.
"Very funny Alison," I sarcastically replied. We stared for a while before she broke the silence. "Lets just study for that science test tomorrow."
"Ugh, watching paint dry is more entertaining!"
"Jc, you're gonna fail."
"Don't remind me."

10 minutes later and she had convinced me to study with her. We sat rather close on the couch for the purpose of sharing a book.
"So, the unit on Chemistry looks to be on page, hmmm, on page 36," she mainly was talking to herself.
I lightly pulled the book away from her. "Or, we could show chemistry in other ways?" I tried to convince her with my infamous smirk.
"I'm not buying it lover boy," she pulled the book back. "Now, two atoms of hydrogen and oxygen equals?" She quizzed me.
"Blah blah blah, we get it, now let's do something else," I leaned back on the couch and crossed my arms.
"It's H2O, that's gotta be the easiest thing on here," she raised her eyebrows at me and then back at the book.
"Hmm, water, I feel like water. Hey! I have a good idea. Why don't we put the books down and go get water from the store!" I pointed my thumb back in the direction of the door.
"Jc, you're being so annoying right now, please," she licked her perfect lips slowly looking into my eyes. I couldn't help but change my glance from her eyes to her lips and then back to her eyes. I think she noticed. Her face slightly flushed pink. She definitely noticed.
It's so hard to just be friends with this girl.

She scanned the pages of her book as I admired her.
"Uh Jc, can you not stare at me?" She mumbled down at her book. I snapped out of it, "Oh, uh, yeah sorry." my cheeks flushed and so did hers. Now, you could tell she wasn't focusing on her book. She sat up and closed it, "I can do this later, what do you wanna do?"
"I have an idea?" I jokingly gave her a seductive smirk. She shook her head and rolled her eyes fighting a smile. I'd kill to see her smile everyday.
"How about we go buy a filter for your mouth?" She jokingly spit out.
She couldn't get anymore perfect.
I didn't respond, instead I changed my gazed switching from her lips to her eyes. And she did the same. Ali blinked and slightly shook her head to wake herself up from my gaze.

"How about some actual lunch? You know since mine went all over you and yours didn't look appitizing while soaked with water?" Ali offered.
"Sure that sounds nice," I gave her a warm smile. "Shall we order Pizza?"
"Yeah," she smiled back. "I know this great place to call, hold on."
She went to grab her phone from the kitchen. I couldn't help but notice how she moves her hips when she walks. Stop Jc, no perving on her.
Ali dialed the number for whatever pizzeria she's ordering from. I heard her tell the guy about one pepperoni pizza.
"Uh, Jc, do we want breadsticks?" She titled the phone down.
"No time for stupid questions, of course we want breadsticks!" I jokingly threw my arms up in the air.
She smiled with her perfect whites and titled the phone back up. "one order of breadsticks." She paused. "30 minutes? ... Ok thank you."
She locked her phone and threw it into my lap. "Da fuq Ali?"
"Hey no swearing around me Mr.Caylen," she scolded. "Hold that for me, would chya' ?"
"Sur-" but she was already half way down the stairs by then. That Ali confuses me sometimes.

"Pepsi or Sprite?" She popped back into the family room holding up two cans.
"Pepsi, please," I snatched it from her.
"Good because I'm more of a Sprite person."
We both opened our pops and drank a couple sips.
"Movie?"
"Sure, what do you got?"
"Uh," Ali paused and grabbed a small remote. "may I present to you The Collection."
"Wha-" then suddenly the stand's cabinets in the family room opened revealing what looks to be a library of movies.
"Spoiled much?" I nudged her and gave her a smile while walking over the the cabinet. "I was not expecting all this with a click of a few buttons. What's next? The tv?" I teased her.
Ali cleared her throat and pressed another button. What do you know? The tv came out of the top of the stand.
"Actually yes," she laughed.
"Ok well that was ironic," I continued to look through the movies. "How about this one? Titanic, it's classic."
"Perfect," she offered me a smile before putting it into the DvD player.

The movie began and we semi cuddled together on the couch. I made a joke about one of the scenes and we both laughed. She faced me and looked up into my eyes and I did the same. Soon I found myself leaning in and Ali seemed to slightly. This is it. Finally. We almost kissed until, DING DONG.

That pizza man.
