It's been three days since Wuxian got his spiritual energy sealed. He didn't know how painful his existence was until his suffering was lifted. He was constantly plagued with fatigue, dizziness, muscle weakness and for some reason he became hyper sensitive. Healer Shi informed him that his sensitivity has nothing to do with the energy seal. That it's a byproduct of accumulative stress and bottled up feelings. He scoffed at her analysis claiming that men shouldn't be sensitive. Nevertheless, he was grateful for his current pain-free body and if that's the price he must pay for it to stay that way.. at the moment he's willing to pay it ten folds.

Today was a good day. He woke up refreshed, his body was somewhat cooperative and since Zewu Jun gave him time off to recover, he had nothing on his plate. Wangji wanted him to stay and rest and with the amount of work his soul-bond is dealing with, Wuxian reluctantly agreed as to not add to his worries. That was hours ago.. now it's midday and Wuxian is bored. A bored Wuxian is never a good thing.

Grandmaster Qiren visited him yesterday to ask his permission to borrow his disciples and Jin Ling for a task that needs taking care of a few towns over. They departed this morning, leaving Yu Yuxio behind. She befriended Lan Ran and stuck with her when she wasn't pestering Wuxian. Wen Ning was sitting outside Wuxian's room, people gazing. He called it hyper vigilance but Wuxian knows it is fancy-talk for gossip fishing. That man can walk through a crowded town without anyone noticing. No wonder collecting information is now a 'hobby' of his.

Wuxian looked outside his window, sighing from boredom. Maybe he can go visit Zewu Jun. He hasn't seen his brother since he woke up three days ago. He's probably swamped with all the mail and requested ment for the Divine Oracle. Wuxian felt a little guilty. He's sitting here relaxing while his brother is suffering on his behalf. With a plan in mind, Wuxian put on his shoes and peeks outside his door: "Psst.. Wen Ning!"

Wen Ning, sitting on the stairs outside his room, turns around to look at Wuxian: "You should be in bed."

Wuxian pouts at him: "But I'm bored. Want to go on an adventure?"

Wen Ning stares at him blankly: "Do I have a choice?"

Wuxian opens the door and smiles mischievously at him: "Not really. Let's go!"

He grabs Wen Ning's arm and drags him towards the back mountain. He did his best to sneak around so as to not get caught and reported to Wangji. He knows that he's not someone that can pass by unnoticed and these disciples are loyal snitches to his soul-bond.

When a group of junior disciples passed by, Wuxian shoved Wen Ning behind a fence and hid next to him. He heard them exchanging commands passed on from Zewu Jun. He frowns, moving a little closer to the edge of the fence to see what's going on. One disciple told the other: "Zewu Jun requested extra security around his Excellency's quarters. No outsider is to be seen near that place!"

Wuxian turns to Wen Ning and whispers: "What's going on?"

Wen Ning whispers back: "They've been on high alert since noon. Apparently an unknown cultivator clan sent their first master to meet Zewu Jun unannounced. He initially refused to let them three days ago and met them instead outside of Cloud Recesses. He brought them here this morning after Grandmaster Qiren left."

Wuxian: "Do you know who it is?"

Wen Ning shakes his head: "They didn't say names and they were not allowed near your rooms so I haven't had the chance to get a look at them."

Wuxian thinks about it for a few seconds and when the disciples turn a corner and disappear from their view, he jumps and hurriedly makes his way towards the back mountain. He knows Sizhui took Apple with him but at least he can sit and play with the bunnies.
