"Master Wei, you have to let go."

Wuxian shakes his head: "No."

Kaoji sighs, patting his teacher's back: "Hanguang Jun will kill me."

Wuxian pouts: "But I miss you. You've been gone forever!"

Kaoji chuckles: "It's been only a month."

Wuxian tightens his hold: "I don't care. It feels like forever."

Taiho smiles at Kaoji: "Just enjoy it."

Kaoji looks warily at the door: "What if he comes back? I don't want to die like this."

Wuxian lets go and continues to pout at him: "People fight over my hugs, your coward!"

Kaoji frowns at his sulking teacher: "Why are you thinner?"

Sizhui: "He still eats five meals a day. It doesn't seem to be working."

Kaoji turns to glare at Jingyi: "Brother Jingyi, are you still stealing his food?"

Jingyi puts his hands up: "I don't steal! I bargain food for information!"

Wuxian squishes Kaoji's face and turns him to get his attention: "I'm the adult here. I worry about you, not the other way around."

Kaoji nods and Wuxian lets go: "How was your stay with the Finders?"

Kaoji's face split into the widest smile they've ever seen. He kept babbling about all the adventures they went through and all the situations they had to get out of. Wuxian smiles warmly, listening to him.

Wuxian whispers when Kaoji runs out of breath: "Would you like to stay with them a bit longer?"

Kaoji chuckles nervously: "I'm your student. I have a lot to learn from you."

Wuxian pats his head: "Go have your adventure, I'll always be here to teach you when you're done."

A knock on the door revealed a pissed off Wangji. The moment he entered the room, all the disciples scrambled to bow and leave. They sensed the dangerous aura emanating from the taller man.

Wangji waits for them to close the door then turns to glare at Wuxian.

Wuxian huffs at him: "What?"

Wangji throws his sword on the ground then walks towards his sitting soul-bond. He grabs Wuxian by the waist hauls him up, and pins him to the closest wall. Wuxian squeals in surprise and instinctively wraps his legs around Wangji's waist and uses his soul-bond's shoulders as leverage: "WHAT?"

Wangji latches on Wuxian's neck and aims at a spot he discovered earlier on that was super ticklish. Wuxian barely had time to take a deep breath before he was laughing his butt off, trying to push Wangji away: "No.. Nooo stop!!"

Wangji kept tickling Wuxian until he turned red and screamed: "I give up! STOP!" Wangji leans back and stares at Wuxian, who's breathing hard and smiling at him: "Never look at another human being like that. It drives me crazy."

Wuxian moves his hands to the sides of Wangji's neck: "Clearly."

Wangji whispers: "I almost murdered him out of principle."

Wuxian chuckles: "We need him for now. Maybe later?"

Wangji finally smiles back and leans in for a kiss.

Wangji's possessiveness and jealousy used to bother Wuxian. After experiencing these precious moments, he is starting to accept them for what they are; little bouts of happiness and passion.

Wuxian woke up the next day feeling better. He felt drained after yesterday's weird vision and he was grateful that he was now ready to go out and roam the city. Wearing his white coat and holding his soul-bond's hand while following a polar bear Da Ziran was a sight to behold. If his unique features did not grab the townspeople's attention, the huge white animal walking with them was enough to keep everyone in line.

Liang led the way to where the vision took place. Ziyang and Zewu Jun sent people to follow the merchant's son the moment they snapped out of the vision yesterday and Biming was back again today to scout.

Wuxian spotted him from a distance and their eyes met.

He can clearly see the surprise on Biming's face. They stared at each other for a few minutes while Wuxian tried to calm his racing heart. Biming slowly moved closer to Wuxian and stopped at a hearing distance: "Why are you following me?"

People around Wuxian grabbed the hilts of their swords, ready to fight. Wuxian took a deep breath and said: "You want me to follow you. Why else would you leave me clues?"

Biming looks Wuxian from top to bottom then smirks: "Beautiful as always.."

Wuxian tried not to gag and instead tightened the coat around himself: "Leave this city. These people don't deserve your wrath."

Biming's smile drops and he frowns at Wuxian: "I have unfinished business."

Wuxian: "Tell me what you want. I am the Divine Oracle, I make wishes come true."

Biming circles Wuxian, assessing him with his eyes until the bear blocks his view. Biming steps back in a moment of surprise and fear: "You're not strong enough to help me."

Wuxian: "How do you know?"

Biming: "You're the Deity's chosen one. They refused to help me no matter what I did. Why would they bless you with powers that can help me?"

Wuxian: "I have my own free will. Ask me before involving all these innocent people."

Mianmian has joined the party guarding Wuxian. She watched the vile man who killed her husband and daughter look lustfully at her friend. Her grip on her sword was so tight, it feels like her bones are about to snap. Her eyes were fixed on the big spirit pouch hanging from Biming's belt. Her family is trapped in there with all the other spirits this man has enslaved. She silently vowed that they won't let this evil man leave today before freeing these spirits.

Da Ziran falls back when Wuxian strokes her soft fur. She stands next to him on guard, eyeing the faceless man. Biming whispers: "What is your name?"

Wuxian hesitates for a second but remembers that Biming cannot copy his face: "I'm Wei Wuxian."

Biming smiles at him: "I was born a sin, raised as an outsider and punished because of my parents' choice to love one another. Tell me Wei Wuxian, why are you against my journey to seek justice?"

Wuxian can feel cold sweat cover his body. Even though Biming was just talking without any physical provocation, his presence alone was evoking Wuxian's fears: "Why is your justice more important than the ones you're killing? Where do you get off playing God with their lives?"

Biming's nose flairs in anger: "I'm restoring balance! Ask your precious deities why they're the only ones who get to play God?"

Wuxian steps back when Biming's voice rises: "Tell me, what is it you seek?"

Biming smiles sadly at him: "Maybe one day, when you're strong enough I will come for you. Until then, don't stand in my way, pretty boy.."

He starts to fade away so Mianmian runs towards him and grabs the pouch before he fully disappears. She felt relief wash over her as she held the bag containing so many innocent souls. She hands it over to a shaky Wuxian and smiles: "One victory at a time.."
