Chapter 9

Jenna was taken aback by the question. Deep down, she didn't feel ready to commit to this yet. Jaehyun read her face, knowing her answer.

"Hyung, I don't think she's ready for it yet." Jaehyun said to his leader. Taeyong nodded, agreeing.

"Jenna, make sure you contact us if anything abnormal comes up, alright?" Taeyong said to her. Jenna nodded.

"That's all I have, you two are both dismissed." Taeyong said. The two of them got up, making their way out of the room.

"Are you hungry?" Jaehyun asked Jenna as they exited the room. Jenna stopped in her tracks, realizing that it had been a few hours since she last ate. Jaehyun smiled at her reaction holding his hand out for her to hold.

"Come on, I'll take you to the kitchen area." Jaehyun said as Jenna took his hand.

"We're preparing a meal for the boys, do you want to wait a bit?" Doyoung said as the two entered the kitchen, where Doyoung, Kun, Jaemin, and Jeno were running around, preparing a large feast for the NCT members.

"Sure, we'll wait outside then." Jaehyun said, guiding Jenna to the living room area where many of the boys were gathered, playing video games.

"Yah, pay attention!" They heard Chenle scream at Haechan in his high-pitched dolphin voice. Jaehyun and Jenna chuckled at their child-like behaviour before take a seat on the couch.

"Noona, do you play video games?" Yangyang asked Jenna. Jenna shook her head giving the boy a smile.

"No I don't." Jenna said softly. Upon hearing that, the boys gaming exchanged looks before shoving a controller in her hands.

"Noona, play with us!" Haechan called showing his aegyo. Mark and Renjun immediately cringed, both slapping the boy on the arms.

"That was terrible." Mark whined while Jenna looked at the controller. Jaehyun chuckled, seeing the confused girl. Jaehyun put his arm around her, guiding her fingers on the controller.

"Haechan, start the game, I'll help her." Jaehyun nodded to the boy. Haechan stared at the two for a moment before starting the game.

"Since Jaehyun's helping, I won't go easy on you!" Haechan said, making Jenna laugh.

"Jae, what am I doing?" Jenna asked, unsure of what buttons she was pressing.

"Shhh, doesn't matter as long as we beat the brats." Jaehyun whispered into her ear. Jenna noticed how close Jaehyun was to her, her back right against his chest as his arms wrapped around her. She gulped as a light blush began tinting her cheeks.

"Oh my gosh, noona best Haechan and Chenle!" Mark called out as he stood up, pointing at the screen.

"Did you hear that, we won!" Jaehyun said, excited as he hugged Jenna. Jenna looked behind her, giving the male a smile.

"Yeah, only because of you!" Jenna said as she was warmed by his embrace. She looked around the room at the group of boys who seemed perfectly normal.

"You know, for a moment I forgot that all of you are part of the most dangerous mafia." Jenna said, making the room laugh.

"Food is ready!" They heard Doyoung call, the boys rushing out of the room, Jenna joining them.

After a heartfelt dinner, Jenna watched at the boys began preparing to head out.

"Where are they going?" Jenna asked Jaehyun, who was looking at his watch.

"Business." Jaehyun responded walking out. He called one of the boys.

"Jisung!" The young boy turned around to face Jaehyun.

"Stay in with Chenle tonight." Jaehyun told him, motioning to Jenna. Jenna watched as a pout formed on his face.

"Okay, hyung." Jisung said as the rest of the NCT members got ready. Jisung and Chenle went to Jenna's side. The two boys guided Jenna to the living room. Renjun entered, a holder full of spray cans in one of his hands.

"Are you two coming?" Renjun asked. The two boys shook their heads.

"Jaehyun hyung told us to stay in." Chenle told him. Renjun nodded, leaving the room. The two boys sat there, feeling defeated. Jenna felt bad that the two youngest members had to babysit her. A few moments later, Kun entered.

"I got permission from Taeyong for you two to go and Jenna to join the control room." Kun said, the eyes of the two young boys lighting up. The two of them quickly left the room to prepare. Kun guided Jenna to the elevator, exiting to a floor underground surrounded by screens. In the middle sat Doyoung and Ten.

"Jenna, you can sit here." Kun said, pointing to a chair between the two. Doyoung and Ten gave her a small smile before returning their attention to the screens. Kun returned to the elevator, heading up.

Jenna watched the screens in front of her. Jaehyun was entering a black car with Johnny and Jungwoo, Jaemin sitting in the driver's seat. Taeyong, Yuta and Taeil went into another one that Jeno was driving. Haechan and Mark drove two other vehicles with the WayV members split up. Renjun, Chenle, and Jisung each sat on their own motorcycles. Jenna watched as the men made their way out.

"Jenna, do you know how deals work?" Ten asked her. Jenna shook her head.

"Guess you'll understand by the end of tonight." Doyoung said with a smirk. Ten chuckled at his comment.

"Here, these are from blackboxes from each car and motorcycle, driver of the vehicle is labelled in the corner." Ten explained, pointing to the screen.

"Here is the building the deal is going to be made." Doyoung said, pointing to another screen. Jenna was impressed. Doyoung had hacked their security system so that they could view footage from their cameras. He pointed to the suited people entering a meeting room.

"There's no cameras inside so we can't watch the deal, but that's good because that means no one else can either." Doyoung told her.

The three of them watched as Jaemin's car reached the site first. Jenna heard Jaehyun's voice ring in the room through the radio.

"Okay boys, we are officially open for business."
