Jenna tried her best to look effortless as she posed, but no matter how much the photographers complimented her, she felt like a failure.
"Something just feels off." Jenna told Johnny as she walked off the set, letting Inhye have her turn.
"Does it have to do with her." Johnny asked motioning to Inhye. Jenna shrugged her shoulders.
"It's weird seeing her here, especially after everything that happened when were in school." Johnny pointed out. Jenna had to admit, Inhye's presence did throw her off. Back when the four of them were in school, Inhye was frequently getting in between the close bond Jenna and Jaehyun had together. In college, Inhye was often found throwing herself at Jaehyun at parties, despite the clear relationship he had with Jenna. Overall, Jenna was not excited to see the girl again after all these years.
Jenna did have to admit though, the girl was a natural model. She posed effortlessly in front of the camera, doing all the right movements.
"Inhye, that was amazing. Let's move on to couple shoots. Jaehyun, can you join her?" The photographer asked. Jaehyun nodded, moving towards the set. Jenna watched as Jaehyun sat on the couch, Inhye standing behind him, throwing her arms around his neck as she leaned forward. The photographer took their photos, Inhye changing her movements with every flash. As she watched the two interact, Jenna felt a pang of jealously in her chest.
"He looks so uncomfortable." Johnny whispered to her. Jenna turned to face her brother, a smirk on his face. The photographer must have been feeling the same way though, as he put his camera down, shaking his head.
"You two are both breathtaking on your own but something seems off right now. Inhye, can you come out and Jenna, can you take her place?" Jenna's eyes widened at his words, but made her way to the set, while Inhye scoffed.
As she got onto the set, she felt out of place, no knowing what to do with her body. Jaehyun reached out his arm, grabbing her onto the couch. Before Jenna knew it, she fell onto Jaehyun's lap, staring deep into his eyes as the camera's flashed. From the corner of her eye, she noticed the photographer smiling.
"Ah, that was very natural. I like it." The photographer said, complimenting the two. Jaehyun gave Jenna a small smile before changing his position so he was lying on the couch, head in Jenna's lap. He held her hand, playing with her fingers as she looked down at him. Jenna noticed the cameras flash as the photos were taken. Jenna took a deep breath before letting herself relax into the shoot. Before she knew it, their time had ended.
"You two have good chemistry. I would love to work more with both of you." The photographer said as the two of them walked off the set.
"Please feel free to call us anytime." Jaehyun offered with a small smile. The photographer returned the smile before calling Johnny onto the set with Inhye.
"See, it wasnt't that bad." Jaehyun said, giving Jenna a wink. Jenna rolled her eyes.
"Easy for you to say." Jenna replied poking his stomach. Jaehyun winced at the touch, making Jenna giggle. Jaehyun took this chance to grab her, lifting her over his shoulder as he made his way to the dressing room.
"Jeong Jaehyun, put me down!" Jenna cried out, trying to stay quiet.
"Nope." Jaehyun replied. As they walked past Taeil and Jungwoo, the two boys gave them confused looks. Jenna mouthed the words help me but the two boys gave one look at Jaehyun before shaking their heads, chuckling to themselves. Jenna tried her best to leave Jaehyun's grip, but he held onto her tightly. Jaehyun finally put her down once they were inside the small room.
"What was that for?" Jenna exclaimed once she felt her feet touch the group.
"For fun." Jaehyun replied, grinning from ear to ear.
...
"What the heck is going on?" Jaehyun exclaimed as he watched the people move boxes out of his house. He had returned home from the photoshoot to find that his belongings had been packed into boxes, half of them already out of the house.
"I could ask you the same thing." Jaehyun's father replied, hands crossed over his chest. Jaehyun look towards his mother for an explanation, placing his hands on his hips.
"Your stuff is being moved to you new apartment." His mother said.
"What apartment?" His mother eyed his father before answering the question.
"We decided that you should move in with Inhye. It'll help both of you get to know each other better before the marriage." His mother told him. Jaehyun inhaled sharply.
"And you couldn't have told me before?" Jaehyun asked. He ran his fingers through his hair, frustrated.
"It was a recent decision." Jaehyun's father said. Jaehyun turned to face him, putting his hand down.
"Why?" Jaehyun simply asked.
"Inhye sent me this." His father responded, showing Jaehyun his phone. Jaehyun took a closer look. It was a picture of him and Jenna, smiling as they posed for a picture on set.
"So you're making me move out because of this?" Jaehyun said, voice getting louder at the end.
"She's not a good influence." Jaehyun's father said. Jaehyun let out a deep breath.
"You don't know anything about her." Jaehyun defended.
"I know that you slacked off in school when you were with her which is why we made you move to America in the first place. After all those years in the States, we thought that you changed and decided to make better decisions, but instead, we see you going straight back to her!" Jaehyun's father boomed. Jaehyun huffed, not knowing what to say. Jaehyun never understood his father's hatred towards Jenna.
"You know she's one of the Co-Presidents of JJ Seo, right?" Jaehyun pointed out. His father shook his head.
"A title doesn't mean anything to me. Johnny is our main contact with them anyways." Jaehyun's father said. Jaehyun sighed deeply before turning around.
"Where do you think you're going?" His father asked.
"Anywhere but here." Jaehyun responded, making his way to his car.
