Jaehyun sat silently in the passenger seat of the black car, watching as Lucas guided Mr. Park into the police car parked in front of them.
"Are you ready to go?" Taeyong asked, tapping on the steering wheel.
"Yeah, we're good." Jaehyun responded. Taeyong shifted the gear, getting ready to pull out of their parking spot. Before they left, Jaehyun locked eyes with Lucas, the younger male giving his underboss a small smile before they sped away.
"Don't you love buisness?" Taeyong asked as he smirked, guiding the car along the road.
"Business is unpredictable." Jaehyun responded, looking out the window. Taeyong shookm his head, disagreeing with his statement.
"Only if you're inexperienced." Taeyong told him.
"Whatever you say, Taeyong." Jaehyun said, not really caring.
"One day you'll understand." Taeyong sighed, deciding to focus on the road ahead instead.

Jenna smiled as she watched the Dream members posed, wearing Yuta's designs. The cameras flashed, getting the different angles. Jenna had to admit, the boys were naturals, even Mark.
Today, NCT Dream was at JJ Seo's building, completing a photoshoot starring Yuta's newest line. Jenna, Johnny, Jungwoo, Yuta and Taeil watched the shoot from the sidelines.
"They're doing well." Jenna commented to Jungwoo who was standing beside her.
"I'm so thankful for these boys. Life would be miserable if I only had to manage Inhye." Jungwoo confessed, patting his chest with a bright smile on his face. The photographer put the camera down, letting the boys go on a break while the crew adjusted the set.
"Are we doing okay?" Mark asked as he walked towards the group, his members following.
"Try to highlight the accessories and look natural." Yuta suggested. Jeno posed in front of them, biting onto his hoodie string.
"Like this?" Jeno mumbled through his teeth, making them laugh. Yuta nodded while smiling.
"Yes, that's perfect." Yuta told them. The photographer quickly called the boys back, the new set in place. The boys ran back on set, excited to start the next portion of their shoot.
Jenna heard phones buzz and turned to see all her friends checking their phones. She noticed their eyebrows furrow and assumed it had something to the gang. Johnny looked up, meeting her eyes. He quickly put his phone in his pocket, clearing his throat. The other males looked up at Johnny before doing the same thing.
"Ah, Donghyuck looks so natural." Taeil pointed out as the rest of the group adjusted their attention to the photoshoot. Jenna made a mental note to ask Johnny or Jaehyun for more details later on.
...
"Did you do this?" Inhye asked, slapping down the newspaper on the table as Jaehyun entered the apartment. Jaehyun glanced at the front page, an article on Inhye's father's arrest.
"Bold of you to assume that." Jaehyun said, walking past her to head to his closet. Inhye followed him into their room.
"You're an idiot Jeong Jaehyun. My father's a lot smarter than you think." Inhye said as Jaehyun threw his clothes into his duffel bag, ignoring the girl.
"I know who you are Jaehyun." Inhye said with a sigh. Jaehyun didn't even flinch with his movements.
"I'm the vice-president at Jeong Enterprises and your fiancé." Jaehyun said, closing up his bag. As he walked past Inhye, she reached out pulling up his white t-shirt just high enough to reveal his tattoo. Jaehyun slapped her arm away as soon as he realized what she was doing.
"What the heck?" Jaehyun exclaimed, throwing down his bag. Inhye had her hands on her hips, glaring at the male.
"Do you believe me now?" Inhye asked. Jaehyun sighed deeply.
"What do you want?" Jaehyun asked the girl standing in front of him.
"Listen, I don't want to get married to you either alright, but my father is no ordinary man. He will do everything in his power to take NCT down with him for doing this. Your mafia is in danger." Inhye said, looking at Jaehyun dead in the eyes.
"You just started war, Jaehyun. And you better be ready to fight for your lives." Inhye said as Jaehyun picked up his bag again.
"You're out of you mind." Jaehyun muttered, swining the bag over his shoulder. Inhye shook her head.
"You better start preparing your men before my fathers men get to them." Inhye said before Jaehyun closed the door in her face.
Jaehyun leaned against the door, wiping the bead of sweat that had formed on his forehead.
Inhye doesn't know what she's talking about. Jaehyun thought to himself as he took a deep breath to calm himself down.
...
"Somethings off." Jenna said, as she stared at Jaehyun, lying in bed alongside her. She watched as Jaehyun faked a smile, trying to reassure her.
"It's been a long day." Jaehyun said, softly running his fingers through her hair. Jenna shook her head.
"I saw the news Jaehyun. I know Mr. Park has been arrested for putting company money into his pockets." Jenna said, receiving a sigh from Jaehyun.
"Sometimes I wish you weren't so smart." Jaehyun said, softly pressing a kiss on her forehead. Their moment was interrupted by Jaehyun's phone ringing. Jenna leaned forward, listening into his conversation.
"Hyung, I'm scared." Jenna recognized the voice. It was Jaemin's.
"Where are you right now?" Jaehyun asked, getting out of the bed. Jenna stared as Jaehyun put his jacket on, getting ready to head out. As Jaehyun hung up the phone, he stared at Jenna.
"Is it alright if Jaemin crashes here tonight as well?" Jaehyun asked. Jenna shook her head.
"That's perfectly fine." Jenna replied. A smile spread on Jaehyun's lips as he gave Jenna a small peck on the lips.
"I'll be right back." Jaehyun said, before making his way out of her room.
After Jaehyun left, Jenna lied in her bed, staring at her ceiling. Jaehyun had so many secrets that she wanted to uncover, but she wasn't sure if she could mentally handle the weight of his words. ———————————————————————————
