Jenna looked into Jaehyun's eyes, not really sure what to do.
"Jae," she was cut off by Jaehyun's lips smashing against hers, filled with passion. Jenna quickly found herself being lifted onto the counter, her legs wrapping around his body. Soon they were both out of breath, panting as they rested their foreheads against one another.
"I know, I promise I'll find a way to break it off." Jaehyun told her, brushing his hand against her face.
The two were interrupted by a cough and turned to see Johnny standing there, hands in his pockets. Jenna pushed Jaehyun away while he wiped his now lipstick-stained lips with the back of his hand.
"Jaehyun, Taeyong wants to meet right now." Johnny informed them, waving his phone.
"I'll see you later, dear." Jaehyun said, giving Jenna's hand a light squeeze. The two males made their way out to the driveway, where their cars waited.
"How do you plan on breaking off the marriage?" Johnny asked his best friend.
"Honestly, I'm not sure yet." Jaehyun responded as he got into his car.
...
"What do you want?" Jaehyun asked as he entered the Taeyong's study in their base. Kun and Mark were sitting with their leader, their heads looking up as Jaehyun took his seat.
"There's someone who's trying to get in contact with us, and it's not one of our usuals." Taeyong said, passing a slip of paper to him. Jaehyun looked at the note in front of him.
"Mr. Park?" Jaehyun exclaimed, surprised to see the name. Taeyong nodded.
"Apparently he's been smuggling money from his law firm into his pocket and needs people to help him cover his tracks. He has a large amount he's willing to offer for this." Taeyong explained.
"How much we talking?" Mark asked.
"One billion." Their jaws dropped.
"But in return, we have to help hide the evidence of him keeping billions of dollars. For a law firm." Taeyong continued. Kun shook his head.
"This is too risky." Kun told the other leaders.
"How did he give you this?" Jaehyun, holding the piece of paper in his hands.
"I was afraid you were going to ask that." Taeyong said with a sigh. He passed them another picture, a letter on a desk. Jaehyun read the address.
"He sent this to Jaemin?" Jaehyun asked his leader. Taeyong nodded.
"I'm afraid Mr. Park has identified one of our members. That doesn't leave us with many options." Taeyong said.
In situations like these, NCT has two options. Wipe out anyone that knows their identity, or continuing working with them.
"I guess that leaves us with no choice then." Mark said, breaking the silence. Taeyong nodded.
"Since Jaemin has already been identified, he will be the main point of contact between us and Mr. Kim. That puts Dream in 127's normal position, Mark, do you think they can handle it?" Taeyong asked.
"My members are ready for anything." Mark responded confidently.
"Good, if you have any problems, go to Jaehyun and he will make sure they are in good hands. That's all for today folks." Taeyong nodded to Kun and Mark, dismissing them. After they left, Taeyong turned to Jaehyun.
"Now, I didn't assign you as my underboss to have you sit and do nothing." Taeyong said, taking out a new folder.
"What do you want from me now?" Jaehyun said with a groan.
"You said you wanted to break that marriage of yours, right?" Taeyong asked him. Jaehyun nodded as he opened the folder. His eyes widened as he saw the numbers on the bank statements in front of him.
"Now, this isn't my regular route but I believe Mr. Park's doings could create a large scandal, one large enough to tear Jeong Enterprises down with them if this marriage ever happened." Taeyong said with a smirk.
"Taeyong, you're a genius." Jaehyun said, putting the folder down.
"Thank you but I'm putting it in your hands now. Let me know how it goes." Taeyong said, smiling.
"You're so freaking lazy." Jaehyun said as he got up.
"Not my marriage." Taeyong replied, giving Jaehyun a wink as he left his study.
...
"I hope you don't mind the request, I'm aware that you're a busy woman." Taeil said to Jenna as they made their way to where the cameras were being set up.
"No, I don't mind at all." Jenna said, giving him a bright smile as they joined where Johnny and Jaehyun were standing. They were waiting for Inhye to join them before they started their livestream video for vogue.
Jungwoo and Mark were chatting with Doyoung, who Jenna learned was Vogue's newest interviewer for celebrities when they performed photoshoots. The three of them made their way over to the rest of the group.
"I'm so sorry about Inhye, I have no idea where she is." Jungwoo said, apologizing to the group.
"It's okay, she's always late anyways." Jaehyun said, clearly annoyed. Since the public was now aware of his engagement with Inhye, he had to wear their ring and the piece of metal felt extremely uncomfortable as it sat on his finger.
"Oh, here she comes now." Johnny said, as they watched Inhye enter the studio. The stylists quickly rushed her to the hair and make up station.
"Let's get settled then while we wait." Taeil suggested. Jenna sat between Johnny and Jaehyun on the white couch in front of the cameras while Doyoung sat on the white stool beside it. When Inhye was done, she sat on the end of the couch, beside Jaehyun.
Taeil nodded to the director, who signalled the beginning of their shoot.
"Hello everyone, welcome to Vogue's livestream. My name is Doyoung and I am your host for today. Beside me we have our lovely guests for today from some of Neo City's largest companies, may you all introduce yourselves please."
