"wake up, hyuckie" mark whisper-shouted. they had their meeting scheduled in about forty-five minutes and donghyuck was definitely going to miss if he kept sleeping.

"hyuckieee.." mark dragged his name out while softly rocking the younger's body.

"hm?" the boy finally woke and looked at mark. the latter just cooed at the sleepyhead right in front of him.

"you have to get up, we have our meeting soon, remember?" he whispered to spare donghyuck from more loud noise. donghyuck just made a 'hmpf' sound and buried his head back in the pillow. mark laughed and said "just make sure you're up in ten minutes." before exiting the room and going to the kitchen for his breakfast.

all of the boys were up except chenle and donghyuck of course. it was quiet in the kitchen, everyone still sleepy. their staff had been so kind to prepare breakfast and mark thanked her a lot since he knew the dreamies cooking abilities (apart from jaemin's and renjun's) were rather bad. after a few minutes donghyuck joined them and just after chenle so that now they were complete.

"everyone ready?" mark asked and received some nodding and even a small 'yes' from jaemin and chenle. renjun and donghyuck both meanwhile still looked dead inside and mark had to hold back a giggle at the sight of them with their coffees in their hands and a 'don't talk to me' look on their faces.

the meeting began and just as mark had told donghyuck before they talked about their schedules. their comeback was now completely ready, all recordings done, music video filmed, choreography learned. they would promote on some variety shows and music shows too. it would be quite busy but the dream members were used to barely getting any promotion at all so this was a fact that they welcomed. by the end of the meeting even renjun and donghyuck looked awake. they only had a last practice round at 'the stage' after. that's where they would perform first and they were already familiar with the environment. even shin dong was there for a short while which they all appreciated.

after their practice they went back to the dorms where mark and donghyuck went to their hyungs dorm to visit them. all of them except for taeyong, ten and taeil were present. johnny was the first one to see them, embracing both of them in his arms. while donghyuck was his baby, mark was his buddy and best friend and he loved to take care of both of them. especially donghyuck since they had been living in one dorm for quite a while. he had grown a father-like feeling for him and found donghyuck to be one of the cutest members (with jungwoo). donghyuck knew that and loved it when johnny treated him as his baby.

for mark, johnny also loved his but in a totally different way. the two had been and would always be best friends and johnny was a big brother to mark. just like that mark was the smaller, dumbass and annoying little sibling that you still loved dearly to mark. it was their friendship dynamic and it worked just fine.

he got some of the members together so they could all hang out with mark and donghyuck. doyoung asked donghyuck "so how is renjun and the others? jeno, jaemin?"

"they're good, they've been handling the stress well." donghyuck said. mark nodded and added "yeah, but they seem a bit overworked to me. luckily we have some free time now in the last days before the comeback."

"ohh, can you bring them with you the next time?" jaehyun asked and mark pouted "you just want to see chenle, hyung."

jaehyun laughed and ruffled mark's hair. jungwoo in the meantime had cuddled himself between donghyuck and doyoung on the couch where they were sitting. johnny, jaehyun and mark sat on the floor. winwin sat next to them on a chair and yuta just entered the living room.

"oh, so you two haven't forgotten about us?" the latter acted surprised and mark went up and hugged him. "you know, we could never." he said.

"mhm." yuta mumbled and pinched mark's cheeks. mark scrunched his nose but it was okay. he loved yuta-hyung and knew the older man adored him.

the two sat down next to each other, yuta clinging onto mark. all the members were just chatting and exchanging news. donghyuck, jungwoo and winwin talked about the comeback and mark told his hyungs about living with the dreamies again. doyoung meanwhile was just listening to donghyuck. suddenly he noticed donghyuck's eyes that were constantly falling onto mark. when he observed mark he could see the same behaviour from him. he hoped they didn't fight even though it didn't seem like it. in a quiet minute he leaned over to donghyuck.

"everything okay between you and mark?" he asked.
donghyuck blushed a bit but replied "yes, everything is good. why?"

"i don't know, you two just happen to look at each other quite a lot and i was worried."

"oh. don't worry, hyung. we're okay, it was probably just coincidence." donghyuck insisted.

doyoung nodded and just believed the younger. or not really but he did believe that donghyuck and mark were mature and professional enough to sort out whatever was going on.
"i'll make dinner. do you and mark want to stay over?" he asked.

"i would love to but i don't think we should let the dreamies alone for too long." donghyuck laughed and doyoung secretly agreed. they were really chaotic and doyoung adored mark for keeping up with them.

"i think we should go now, tomorrow we will bring the others with us and then we can all do something together, if you'd like." donghyuck said, his voice a bit raised so that everyone would hear him.

"sure!" jaehyun and yuta said and the other members agreed as well.

"come one then, mark. we got to go." donghyuck stated and mark stood up. they bid their goodbyes and then exited the dorm.

on the way to their own dorm mark spoke "i've noticed you staring." donghyuck raised his eyebrows in confusion and made a "huh?" sound.

"while we were with the others." mark explained, his voice coming out a bit awkward. donghyuck suppressed a giggle because mark would always act like this when donghyuck was not understanding something.

"oh, that. i-" he stopped. he actually didn't know why he kept looking at his hyung. 'no, you do know.' his brain told him and he decided he would just tell mark. couldn't hurt anyways.

"it was just, yuta was very clingy to you." he pouted. mark looked at the younger boy and cooed "you're not jealous, are you?"

"pfff of course not." donghyuck said but mark did not believe him. "but why were you looking at me?" donghyuck said, turning the tables. (a/n: is this something you can say? lmao)

"i- actually i didn't like the way jungwoo was cuddling you." mark admitted. donghyuck laughed loudly "mark, jungwoo-hyung is like that with everyone. no need to become envious of him."

"still.." mark dragged but donghyuck just hugged him. he returned the hug. the two were just in front of their dorms door now, still hugging each other. donghyuck spoke up and broke the hug "come on let's see if they set the kitchen on fire." the two went inside their dorm.
