a week since that night had passed. as the time before mark had felt really relaxed after. he realised that these sexual experiences with donghyuck did not only deepen his crush but also helped him let ho iff his stress. he knew he shouldn't but sometimes he imagined how often they could pull it off on tour. it would be a stressful time too, but not only for mark but also for donghyuck. the canadian knew hyuck was just doing him a favour, nothing more but he it didn't help him overcome his crush. he wondered if donghyuck knew that and if yes then why did he do mark these favours.

donghyuck on the other side found himself in a crisis with his feelings. unlike mark, he was still fighting against his feelings. he did not come to terms with the fact that he was crushing over mark, his best friend, as well. it was not fair to him, how mark easily admitted to these feelings. did the older male not care that donghyuck was a boy? did he not care that he was not only his best friend but also a colleague?

but then he couldn't blame mark since he himself had caught the disease called feelings. it was horrible but every time he saw mark joking around with the other members, practicing with their instructor or simply talking with their hyungs, he wanted to claim mark. wanted to tell everyone that mark was his and his alone. but he wasn't and that scared donghyuck. he never had to claim someone as everyone always wanted him but now he was scared. if mark had come to terms with the fact that he apparently liked boys he could like another boy. simply turn away from donghyuck, there were so many pretty boys (and girls) out there. sometimes donghyuck wondered if it would be better like that. mark would just get a new crush and donghyuck would ignore his feeling and they would each go their own way. but of course that's not how life had planned things out for them.

apart his internal crisis he also had his preparations for the world tour. they would start with their first concert in seoul before visiting the us, canada, europe, and lastly asia. they would even hold two concerts in india before going to japan and then back to korea where their last concerts would be held. the tour would last almost two months, thousands of miles travelling, hundreds of hours of practice and a lot to handle. that's why all the members went through medical check ups as a preparation.

one part of the check up was questions about their personal well being as well as sex and sexual partners. when it came to these questions donghyuck became a bit flustered. even though he answered truthfully that he had sex in the past month he did not specify with which gender. surely it was private information and his doctor was not allowed to tell anyone without donghyucks consent he was too afraid the doctor would either laugh at him or tell the company. however even without any word about it donghyuck guessed the doctor knew. after all a handprint on one of his buttcheeks and a faint limp could tell a lot. hyuck was just glad the doctor did not ask anything behind if he knew about his sexual partners possible sexual diseases. it was funny because donghyuck did actually know mark was clean, the idols in their company had to get themselves tested once a year and last time both donghyuck and mark were clean of any stds. hence why they did not have to worry about wearing a condom (not that they would speak about it, ever).

after their medical check ups they were allowed to visit their parents because well, they wouldn't see them for at least after the tours end if not longer. since mark could not visit his parents (for obvious reasons) donghyuck had asked him if he wanted to come with the younger. he had also offered the same to renjun and chenle but both declined politely. both would just see their parents when they would visit china.

since it was summer donghyuck's parents were currently residing in their house on jeju island were donghyuck had basically spend half if his childhood. neither mark nor donghyuck packed many clothes since they would be provided there with not only enough clothes but also food and room obviously.

"bye guys, see you in a few days!" mark shouted through the dorm. the members, which were only chenle and renjun since the others had left. they would have jisung as company though since jisung's parents lived in seoul.

"bye hyungs!" chenle waved at them after hugging. renjun let go of hyuck and also gave mark a quick hug before letting the two take their taxi to the airport. the flight would not be long but they still needed some sort of security which was why one of their managers was flying with them. he would only take them to jeju island and back in a few days but not interact with them in the time in between. it was their private life and the company respected that.

"are you excited to meet them again?" mark asked while they were taking off. donghyuck gave him a half-offended look and pouted "of course! my mom texted me. she says she's more excited to see you than me."

mark laughed and pinched his cheeks while saying "don't worry hyuck. she only lied to you to keep you down to earth." and added "not that she succeeded though." donghyuck smacked his side and mark winced.

"that was deserved, you punk!" donghyuck grinned cheekily, sticking his tongue out afterwards.

"i'm your hyung, bitch." mark responded and then ruffled through the others hair. freeing himself from mark's grip, donghyuck sat up and enjoyed the view out of the window. the sun shone beautifully over the city which they were still crossing. after a while the buildings vanished and instead appeared green fields that were barely visible from how high up they were.

neither of them said something for a while, both just enjoying the flight. donghyuck broke the silence and noted
"you know, sometimes i wish i could fly."

mark looked at him, almost endearingly and it made donghyuck's heart flutter. the older gave him a little smile and then questioned "why is that?" he seemed honestly interested in the younger's answer.

"i don't know. i guess the freedom would be nice. you could go anywhere in the world. you'd always have a great view, you could look at the sky all the time if you flew high enough to pass the clouds. it's like nothing matters up here." donghyuck explained.

"that's..." mark didn't know what to say. donghyuck was usually not one to talk about stuff like that

"beautiful." mark concluded and donghyuck looked at him with a big smile. his eyes crinkled and the sun was shining onto his skin, making him glow. the nickname 'full sun' couldn't fit better.

"beautiful, just like you." mark muttered under his breath. he checked on donghyuck to see if he had heard which he seemingly had not. the younger just kept looking out of the window, his eyes glued onto the ground where he could see rays of sunlight shimmering through a wall of clouds. without really thinking about it donghyuck took mark's hand and took it into his own. his body was doing it on its own and donghyuck barely realised what he was doing, he was only focused on the world outside the window.

meanwhile mark was taken by surprise. he glanced a look at their manager who was sitting in the row next to them but the man just sat there, his eyes closed. he was probably sleeping.

"donghyuck?" mark asked.

"yeah?" the other responded.

mark hesitated but then spoke "while we're visiting your parents, let's forget about being idols. let's forget about who we are. let's just have fun. just us." donghyuck tightened his grip on mark's hand and just nodded. mark had no idea how much the younger male enjoyed hearing those words. this was something he had wanted to hear for so long. just them. on jeju island. no responsibilities, no managers, no promotions, just them.

donghyuck leaned his head onto mark's shoulder, his smile as wide as it could get. "just us." he whispered and closed his eyes.

mark looked at him and right then he realised how much in love he was with the boy. he had fallen for his best friend and as much problems as it would probably bring with it, he could not care less. he was in love with lee donghyuck.
