when donghyuck opened his eyes he had a smell of food in his nose. he raised himself off the matress, untangling himself from mark's arms and legs. the older male whined but kept sleeping. arriving in the kitchen the smell of fresh food intensified and donghyuck saw his mother standing at the counter.

"good morning, mom!" he smiled at her and she returned the smile. "good morning, hyuckie. how did you sleep?" she asked.

"alright, thanks mom."

"well, you weren't in your room. did you go to marks last night?" the woman questioned and donghyuck blushed which was answer enough. she ruffled his hair and laughed before handing him a plate. he gratefully took it and started eating. a few minutes later mark entered his room, his eyes still puffy, making it obvious he just woke up.

"good morning, mark. take some food." donghyuck's mother said and he thanked her. sitting down next to donghyuck he also started eating while donghyuck's mother left the kitchen to do who knows what.

"so what do you want to do today?" donghyuck asked after finishing his plate.

"oh, i made a list of what we could do while you were sleeping on the plane." mark replied. his eyes followed the younger who was putting his dirty plate in the dishwasher. donghyuck was just too pretty to take his eyes off him.

"oh! what did you write down?" donghyuck asked, still oblivious to the fact mark watched every one of his moves.

"it's all on my phone. i'll get it." the canadian replied and got up from his seat. donghyuck hummed in acknowledgement, continuing to put dirty dishes into the dishwasher.

on the way to his room mark told himself to get it together. sure, he had a crush on donghyuck but that was no reason to stare at him all the time. the younger would probably find it creepy. but he was just so ethereal and adorable, mark couldn't help himself.

he got his phone and went back to the kitchen. donghyuck was still busy, bending over to turn on the dishwasher. mark licked his lips at the sight but decided to ignore any attraction towards donghyuck. especially when any of the younger's family members could walk in any minute.

"i got it here." he said and donghyuck turned around. he had finally closed the dishwasher and turned it on so that now a few sounds could be heard from the machine.

"so tell me. i'm wondering what you could find interesting to do here. for me, i basically know it all." the korean boy replied with a smug grin. mark rolled his eyes and started reading off his list.

"so i wrote down: stand-up paddeling, scuba diving, visiting museums, tandem paragliding and visiting the hot pools."

"you did your research, i see. these should all be possible but with what do you want to start today?" donghyuck said. mark shrugged and spoke "i don't care, even though i'm kind of tired still so it probably shouldn't be something where you have to use too much energy."

donghyuck nodded and responded "then let's go for the museums. i know many that you'll like and they're not far."

"then let's go." mark agreed.

they both got changed and washed up. donghyuck called a taxi and it drove them to the first museum. since many museums were close by they could just walk so no need for the taxi driver to stay with them.

the first museum they visited was a teddy bear museum. mark laughed when he catches onto the whole thing but enjoyed it nonetheless. donghyuck told him that this was one of his favourites and even talked about how in his childhood he went here almost every week. indeed the museum was filled with parents and their children but it was interesting nonetheless. mark learned that there was more to teddy bears than what you would've guessed and donghyuck just enjoyed being here again.

the next museum was a museum for old and new paintings. it looked very aesthetically pleasing and even though neither donghyuck nor mark were very much into art they were both stunned by the paintings and their auras. somewhere in the middle of their visit mark took donghyuck's hand. they didn't mention it but both of them had the feeling that this was a date. a very nice one too.

lastly they went to a chocolate museum which was probably the best one yet. they looked at all the amazing art made purely out of chocolate and donghyuck joked that tonight he would break in and eat it all. this earned the giggling couple a stern look from the security guard but they didn't care. at the end of the museum there was a shop and they decided to both buy chocolate for each other. mark got donghyuck a chocolate teddy bear and the younger got him a chocolate guitar as he knew how much mark liked playing.

when gifting each other both became quite red and donghyuck tried to overplay it by fake cringing but mark still caught the way donghyuck smiled when receiving his present.

the two made their way to a small street cafe where donghyuck was happily munching on his chocolate. mark didn't touch his chocolate guitar since he felt it was too pretty to eat. instead he got himself and donghyuck some pork belly and soup as they didn't eat any lunch. the two happily ate together, just enjoying each others presence.

"we should probably go home now." donghyuck said as the moon started to rise. the streets were filled with people who were chatting the night away. the bars started to open.

mark called them a taxi this time and also insisted on paying since donghyuck had payed all their tickets for the museums. donghyuck tried to argue that mark had payed for dinner but the other didn't care and payed the taxi driver who was seemingly not enjoying their quarrel.

"how was your day?" donghyuck's father asked as soon as they two entered through the door.

"it was amazing, donghyuck went to some museums with me." mark told him and the man smiled.

"glad you like it here, mark!" he replied and mark nodded.
to donghyuck the elder man said "we didn't know wether you had dinner or not so there is some in the fridge. feel free to take it."

"we're fine. we ate there." the young male explained. the two went to donghyuck's room were they hung out for a while before mark became too tired.

"i guess i'm going to sleep now." the older boy said and stood up. he went to the door and opened it. when donghyuck looked up he was still standing there.

"what is it?" he asked.

"are you coming?" mark laughed and donghyuck finally caught on what mark was waiting for.

"i'll change and then i'll come. give me two minutes." donghyuck spoke and mark just nodded and closed the door behind him.

after the younger had changed he happily entered marks room. the latter was already cuddled under his blanket, reminding donghyuck of a burrito. he laughed at the sight. mark looked up at him, then down to himself and then started laughing as well. he opened his covers and donghyuck squeezed himself next to mark.

"night, markie." he said, his eyes already closed.

"good night, hyuckie." mark said before planting a quick peck onto donghyuck's forehead. he smiled as he saw donghyuck blushing. oh how he loved seeing it, seeing him. mark was so in love with this boy. all he hoped for was that one day, maybe donghyuck would return his feelings. until then, this seemed quite alright.
