vancouver was amazing. mark had missed the feeling of the city, the familiar streets where he spent most of his childhood. he smiled all the way to the hotel they would be staying at, taking in the sight of the crowded streets. his smile made the other members happy as well. mark told them, he would give them a little tour later. but first they unpacked. this time mark shared a room with jaemin. he liked it, jaemin was a nice and clean roommate.

the two chatted on their way down to the lobby where they would meet with the other members. jaemin was the first one to say something. he asked "you've been missing this city, right?"

"of course. it's just so different. it brings back memories." mark responded.

"vancouver." jaemin said with an english accent so that it would sound like he was talking english. mark laughed and jaemin joined in. the two men arrived and the other members were already waiting for them.

mark showed them around, they visited the vancouver aquarium and walked along the streets. the stopped at a little cafe to eat some snacks. but they couldn't stay long as they still had practice and then the concert later.

the concert was amazing. probably the best one yet for mark. at his ending speech he could not help but let some tears fall. the members rubbed his back and hugged him as he continued with his talk. he was just so happy to be back here, knowing that even some of his old friends were in the crowd. he laughed and cried at the same time even after the concert. all his members could feel how much it meant to their leader to be on stage here, in his hometown.

the next day passed fast due to the fact that all they did was practicing and holding their concert. in the evening, after their concert was over, mark pulled donghyuck to the side.
"as you might know, i'll visit my parents tomorrow. do you want to come with me?" mark asked the younger. the boy looked at him with big eyes in confusion.

"why would i come with you? don't you want to spent time alone with your family?" the younger questioned.

"i want them to get to know you. besides they've been wanting to meet you for a while anyways. come on, this will be the only opportunity in a while." mark affirmed.

the other looked at him for a short while, thinking to himself but he ended up nodding his head in agreement. mark hugged him happily and ruffled his hair.

"thank you, love." the older boy whispered. donghyuck looked at him with wide eyes but the nickname seemed to escape mark's notice as he let go off donghyuck without showing any sign that that word left his mouth. the younger male meanwhile blushed, he could get used to mark calling him 'love'.

since it was late already they all went to bed. no one had the energy to to something and besides that they had a free day tomorrow anyways.

when donghyuck woke up it was due to mark calling out his name. he stood in front of his bed, careful to not wake chenle up who was donghyuck's roommate.

"morning, what's the time?" donghyuck asked groggily.

"it's seven. you need to get up if you still want to come with me." mark informed him with a warm smile. donghyuck recalled their conversation yesterday and nodded. he quickly got dressed and washed up. he still looked sleepy but it wasn't all too bad. he went out of the bus, the cool morning air hitting him. he froze and quickly pulled out his jacket.

"come on." mark nudged him and brought him to taxi. mark had already spoken to the driver who would bring them to the house of mark's parents. the drive itself was quiet and donghyuck fell asleep again on mark's shoulder. it was seven in the morning after all.

when they arrived mark woke donghyuck up. it had been about an hour drive and the air was now warmer since the sun shone the whole time. donghyuck stretched his arms and thanked the driver in english.
