their promotions were slowly ending, the weeks blending in together. it was like time was flowing like water.

during this time, donghyuck had taken notice of something. sometimes he would just scroll through his phone or be on his computer to play games when he saw fans discussing something. he would then click on their post and there would be pictures of him and mark. those post could be two kinds of posts. number one being supportive fans paying attention on how close he and mark had become. the other was well, a bit embarrassing for donghyuck. they were talking about how mark and him were soulmates and some fans even suspected a romantic relationship between the two of them.

even though donghyuck slowly came to accept that he liked mark, he would never imagine telling the other neither being in a relationship with him. but these posts got him thinking about how nice it would be. they could go on dates and kiss each other freely, they already lived together but donghyuck guessed it would be much different if they were a couple. maybe in a different life it would've been possible. he knew, mark liked him back. even though the canadian male had told donghyuck he would try to get rid of his crush the younger knew that wasn't happening. mark would sometimes secretly peck him when they were alone and would even tell on the managers if he thought they were going to harsh on hyuck. of course, he did that for the other members as well but he was very protective over donghyuck which the latter found very adorable.

one time they had been out on a show and when they got back to the dorms it was late already. but mark, as always, still had schedules so he bid his goodbye when the others went inside. donghyuck was the last to go and mark quickly pecked him on the lips.

"mark? are you crazy?? people could've seen that." donghyuck hit him but the other just shrugged and said "i just couldn't resist. but i mean who could resist you anyway?"

donghyuck blushed and hugged him before going inside. luckily nobody had seen or else the two would have a lot of explaining to do.

"donghyuck? where were you?" renjun asked and startled the other. he jumped and gave the chinese a look while shouting "injunnie, oh my god! give me a warning!"

the chinese boy laughed at that reaction. "sorry man, you looked a bit lost. so where were you?"

"i just said goodbye to mark and then went in." donghyuck explained. renjun looked up "you and mark seem really close lately. what happened?"

"n-nothing," donghyuck cursed at himself mentally for stuttering, "i guess, sharing a room just gave us a lot of bonding time."

'bonding time'. it made donghyuck blush since that bonding time was most definitely not what renjun was probably imagining. he was lucky had and mark had been close before already or the two would've been really suspicious. even renjun now looked like he did not fully believe hyuck but he didn't say anything and just shrugged.

"i'm happy for you guys! i told you, you two have a bond." he patted donghyucks shoulder and then stood up. "well, i'm gonna go to sleep now. goodnight, hyuckie." he told the younger before disappearing into his room.

"goodnight, jun." the boy muttered before retreating into his room as well. he was tired and sad as well since he couldn't fall asleep next to mark. instead he did something what he had been doing whenever mark wasn't present when he was falling asleep. he put on one of mark's shirts so he could at least smell the other. he knew mark didn't mind. in fact the other had encouraged donghyuck to do so when he wasn't there so he had at least a little bit of mark with him.

days were passing by and donghyuck could see mark getting stressed again. he himself was tired out by all the promoting, just like all the other members. but mark was the worst of them all. donghyuck had overheard jisung and jaemin talking about it. both were worried about their leader. he recently did definitely not get enough sleep (donghyuck would know) and was basically never present at their dorms.

johnny had asked about mark as well, being curious if his younger member could handle all the stress. when donghyuck told him about it, the american male said he would talk to taeyong who could maybe talk to their managers.

whenever mark was finally in their dorms all he would do was sleep or work with his members on plans. they recently got informed that there would be a world tour so there was a lot of planning that had to be done. he, as a leader, helped jisung with talking with his parents as well as renjun and chenle who had problems with their chinese passports. seeing all that made donghyuck think. mark deserved to relax and in his mind hyuck was forming a plan on how to relax the older boy.

so one day, about two weeks before their first world tour concert would be held it was time. again mark was late at the dorms, it was around one am when he finally arrived. donghyuck had waited for him.

"hyuckie? what are you doing still awake?" mark asked surprised.

"i wanted to wait for you, hyung. don't you want me to be with you?" donghyuck teased. he was laying on mark's bed, his eyes following every single one of mark's movements.

"i mean, i don't mind it. i love when i get to talk to you all alone." mark said while changing out of his shirt that he had worn for the day. just when he was about to put on his pyjamas donghyuck stopped him.

"don't, hyung!" he whispered, now kneeling on the bed. one arm was stopping mark from putting on the shirt, the other started to caress the older's body. mark finally seemed to understand what was going on as he lowered his arm and let the shirt fall onto the ground.

"donghyuck, you don't have to. i know you're tired and i am as well. don't worry." he said, his voice dropping. his voice rarely was this low, mostly in the morning and donghyuck found it incredibly attractive.

"but i want to. if you're tired, i'll do everything. i just want you to relax." he reassured mark.

mark seemed to think for a little while but with donghyuck's hands gliding over his skin, the other's hot breath on his stomach he gave in.

"fine, but we'll have to be quiet." he whispered before leaning down to kiss donghyuck. the other just giggled in excitement and opened his mouth so that mark's tongue could explore his mouth.

he was so happy, he finally had mark back. he tried to pour all his feelings into the kiss and he believed mark understood.

"i missed you so much, hyuckie." mark whispered into his ear. donghyuck just kissed him again before saying "me too mark, more than you can imagine."
