The Jade Creature

Chapter 13 - The Execution

The Jade creature and his men arrived at the kingdom with Glamdrog, they kept him in a bag so that the citizens wouldn't try to kill him.
They arrived at the generals office.

"Generals, I present to you, Glamdrog, the mass killer or the kingdom." The Jade creature presented.

The general walked right up to Glamdrog and looked him right in the eye.

"I hope you know what's coming to you, this won't be painless." The general said as he taunted him.

"Please, I didn't want this, let me go I beg you." Glamdrog begged.

"Get this sick filth out of my office." The general said as he nodded to the Jade creature. They locked him in a cell and awaited his public execution.

"Valor, Kirin, Curtis, I want you to stay outside here while the men come in and proceed with the torturing stage, can I trust you to do that?" The Jade creature asked.

"Yes sir, although Valor can stand these kinds of things, his dad was a torturer, stomach must have been worn down over time." Curtis explained with humour.

"Very well, Valor you come with me, I wanted to speak with you anyway." The Jade creature instructed.
They stood outside and the Jade creature looked down on Valor and made sure he was listening.

"Valor, I can see that you are a leader, that is why I am promoting you to commander straight a way, you will recieve further training, and you will be assigned a legion that you will command alongside me when needed." The Jade creature explained.

"Sir, that's a huge honor, but what about Kirin and Curtis." Asked Valor.

"I have plans for them, they will get their own rewards." The Jade creature said with a smile.
As he walked away to await the execution.

Finally, it was time, Glamdrogs death was imminent, the executioner was ready, and Glamdrog was there, with bruises and cuts all over his body. He general were there to make a speech before it commenced.

"Good people, you are gathered here to witness the death of a killer, a lair, and a traitor. This man caused the deaths of thousands, and destroyed the pillars which held up the samurai, he will pay, HE WILL PAY NOW!!" The general shouted at the top of his lungs as the executioner readied the execution device, this time, it was the guillotine.
Glamdrog was in the device and was offered some last words by the general.

"Please, I never wanted this, just give me a chance." Glamdrog begged to no avail.

The guillotine came down and there it fell , Glamdrogs head was on the floor and there was blood squirting from the rest of his body. Though barbaric, the crowd cheered and so did the generals, and though the Jade creature saw it vile, he was also satisfied with the result. Glamdrog was now dealt with and the Jade creature could move on, and not have to live with the guilt that remained.
