The Jade Creature

Chapter 27 - Oh You Are Ugly.....

It was time, everyone that was ready to be evacuated from earth was ready and sat on the ships. The take off was delayed however, and the creatures had began to attack the planet.

The near by militia had been prepped and on stand for defence. The battle was on.....

"Sir, multiple hostile heading our way!!!" The solider said to the Jade creature who was standing at the front lines.

"Fire at will!!!" The Jade creature orders, and the men fired. All of a sudden a swarm of bullets flew towards the hideous creatures that landed not too far away.

The creatures were increasingly tall, taller than the Jade creature, they had horns on the tops of their heads, with what looked like lava running through their veins, and their teeth were almost like the fangs on a sabre tooth tiger.

"Do you think we can hold them for long enough?" Kirin asked the Jade creature.

"We have to, even if it means us having to give our lives for it." The Jade creature told them, the men didn't object to this, as they were willing to make the sacrifice. The Jade creature didn't tell them that he wanted to stay and die with the planet, he knew that they wouldn't go if he didn't. So he just thought he'd wait until it was time.

"There's too many of them, we need time to reload the guns!!" The soldier shouted.

"We have to get out there, give the troops time." Curtis shouted.

"Your right, Order of Jade, let's do this!!" The Jade creature shouted, and the men jumped the wall and ran towards the monsters. And fought like they had never fought before.

The Jade creature using fighting techniques he had not used in thousands of years, and the monster crumbled before him.

"Is that all you've got you savage beasts?!!!" The Jade creature shouted in a battle cry, enjoying this battle more than any other. Valor, Kirin, Curtis and Bjorik formed a circle and all fought among that as a team, and the monster stood no chance against them, one by one they killed everyone of them they saw.

"Come on bring it you worthless muts!!!" Bjorik shouted, burying his axe in one of the monsters hearts, exposing the lava-like substance from within.

"Come on, IMPRESS ME!!!!" Curtis shouted slamming his hammer into another monster.

"Weapons are reloaded, get back here!!" The soldier shouted, and the men jumped back over the wall.

"THAT WAS AWESOME!!" Curtis shouted laughingly.

The men started firing again, and the monster kept falling as they got up. But the soldiers were running out of ammo, the Jade creature had to hold them off for the rest of the way.

"We running low sir, 2 minutes left before we run dry!!" The solider admitted, and the Jade creature understood.

"I guess we'll have to improvise." The Jade creature said.

Right were he stood, he gathered all the strength that passed though his jade form. Then he gathered all the rage, the sorrow and the night inside him and his Jade form began to shine brighter, like a lamp or a jewel. Then all of a sudden.

"AAAAAAAHHHHH" the Jade creature screamed as his whole Jade form shined brighter than the sun, the power surging through his body stronger than it ever had before, he was ready to fight.

"Now that.....is awesome." Curtis said with a smile across his face."

"Come on men, let's do this." Valor shouted, and al the men jumped over the wall for one last time into the battlefield.

"RRRRRRAAAAAAAAHHHHHH." The Jade creature screamed at the top of his lungs slamming his spear into the ground as hard as he could, creating a power surge stronger than anything that was ever created. Killing hundreds of the huge monsters that were trying to attack the ship. And the men finished the rest of them off.

"Alright get back to the ship, your leaving." The Jade creature ordered as the men ran to the ship, the Jade creature wouldn't move, he was ready to die with the planet.

Bjorik turned around to see him standing there, and he ran right back to see what happened.

"What are you doing? We have to go!!" Bjorik shouted at the Jade creature.

"I have to die here, this is my destiny, I can finally die." The jade creature said calmly, angering Bjorik.

"The new world is going to need you, you don't have to keep this destiny, you can change it!!!" Bjorik told him as the rest of The Order of Jade emerged behind him.

"It's not just the new world that's going to need you, so will we, your friends." Valor said calmly.

The Jade creature then looked back at the chaos, the burning buildings, the deserted land, the dead monsters, did he really want to die here? He then turned back to the men, and gave them his answer.

"You are more than I have ever deserved, true friends you are.....I will join you on the ship, and I will fright by your side another day." The Jade creature stated, and the men smiled, all happier than they had ever been, knowing that their friend chose not to die.

"We have to go, NOW!!" The soldier shouted as the ships entrance began to close. And the men bolted it up there as fast as the could. They ran to the control room to see if everything was going as planned.

"Take off initiated, ship engine boosts firing." the captain said to the other pilots.

And you could feel the ship taking off at full speed, everything went blurry, all you could see were the lights on the computers and control pannels. It lasted 2 minutes before everyone's vision cleared.

"Ships fuel cells stable, we made it!!!" One of the pilots shouted and the whole room began to cheer.

"YEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!" The Jade creature screamed showing more emotion than anyone in the room.

Humanity had been saved, and the Jade creature had done his job.

"How many ships survived?" Kirin asked the captain.

And to the relief of everyone in the room the captain answered.........

"All of them......"
