The Jade Creature decided to leave the Roman Empire since he didn't want to be a leader or a ruler. He didn't know where he was going but he travelled for a very long time for about 50 years on foot, and for most of that time he didn't see anyone apart from a few gypsies that he traded with for some food. He eventually ended up somewhere where he didn't know the name of, but these days it would be known as Israel. It was a very large country, not quite as big as the Roman Empire but it was still something. He wanted to speak with the 'leader' with the hopes of helping them with some things that needed to be done, he didn't really care what he just wanted to do something other than travelling for a while. He found a person and asked him in Latin if there was a leader, the person shrugged and indicated that they did not speak the language, he asked a few more people and no one he ran into spoke Latin. He then was approached by some soldiers that were dressed similarly to the Roman Empire and a shorter man came out from among them. That man thankfully spoke Latin. Him and the Jade creature spoke for a minute, the Jade creature told him of where he had come from and what his intentions were. The man then turned to the soldier next to him and whispered into his ear, he then told him to follow him and they started walking towards what looked like the centre of Jerusalem. They walked into a large building where they saw a man, dressed with armour and with servants next to him with fans and fruit. The man on the throne stood up and walked towards him with a curious yet intrigued look on his face, this man was nothing like Caesar, he did not look spoilt or cocky and didn't look like a mass killer either, but the Jade creature didn't lower his guard just yet. The man on the throne whispered to the translator and the translator said this to the Jade creature. "The General says that you should get settled in, that you should find yourself a job, buy a small cottage, maybe learn the local language a bit better, he says that when your situated that you should come and speak to him and he'll find something for you." The Jade Creature indicated that he understood and he was let out by the guards. All he had to do now was become local to the city of Jerusalem. It took him some time, about 3 years to be exact, but the Jade creature managed to get settled in very easily, he found a job and built his own temporary home, he had also learned a few words from the language that the people spoke which was Hebrew including most of the words he had used in the first conversation with Caesar and he was proud of his adaptability. It was time to go and talk to the general. He walked into the centre of the palace and spoke to the general, the general was rude and discriminative against him for no reason, he told the Jade creature that the only reason he was there was so he could use him as a slave. The Jade creature was furious, he wasn't going to let himself be enslaved to a man like him, so for the first time in a long time he turned to his Jade form. The guards behind him came running, and he took them down and crushed one of their skulls with his bare hands. He picked up one of their weapons and stabbed the general right through the heart and out the back, knowing that he would be a wanted man across the country. He left the palace and quickly went over to his house, collected his things and left the city. The Jade creature moved over to a płace called Bethlehem, a poorer part of Israel but somewhere where he could lay low for a while until he had an idea of where to go next. Even though he killed a man that planned to enslave him, he regretted killing him, he was on the run again and he was a wanted murderer again. He hid out for a long time hoping that the people weren't looking for him again even though he knew that none of them would be able to take him down. After a couple weeks he got news of a child being born in the stables nearby, the child was apparently a special child, one that was suspected to be the son of god. The Jade creature wanted to meet this child, he wanted to see if it were true. A few days later he located the stables where the child was being born, he walked in saw what he had been waiting to see. A little baby boy by his mother's side with his father next to him as well, there were Shepherds and a few rich men next to him, he kneeled down and spoke to the baby. "If you are the son of god, then you are under my protection, I can not offer you my eternal life but I can offer guidance, if anyone ever attempts to harm you, I'll be here for you."
This was the first time the Jade creature vowed to help someone for the rest of their life, he thought that this child was the son of god, that he would be able to purge himself of his immortality, and that he would be able to rejoin his tribe. For a few years he protected the family of Mary, Joseph and the boy who his parents named Jesus. He protected the boy and acted as a guardian hoping that in exchange, he would have his immortality eradicated from his body. It was not long before the boy was an adult, the Jade creature had spared no expense to protect the boy, as he wanted nothing else but to be free of his immortality. The boy had been religious all his life since his parents were Jewish, he was 30 and he was talking to people, and telling story's about different individuals in the world, people were loyal to him and they were also naming him the son of god. He was also seen by the rich as a cultist, and they assumed that he had bad intentions, they resented him and resented the people that followed him. The Jade creature kept him safe for as long as he could, but there was something holding him back, Jesus wanted him to stop protecting him, he felt burdened by his people, and didn't want to be seen as a coward being protected by a man like the Jade creature. The Jade creature was shocked but he understood, he gave up protecting him and instead kept a watchful eye on him to make sure he wasn't planning anything out of the ordinary, and to make sure the people that resented him didn't try to attack him. The Jade creature watched for a long time, until one day...... it happened. The people took Jesus and they transported him somewhere in the desert, and they left him. The Jade creature followed them and met Jesus right where he lay unconscious. He tried to wake up but it did nothing. He was there for a minute until he heard something, he saw a figure in the dust. He immediately turned to his Jade form and drew his spear. The figure appeared and a chill ran down the Jade creatures spine for the first time in hundreds of years. Satan. The creator and king of hell, the architect of suffering and the devil himself, what would he want from a mere human like Jesus. The Jade creature became even more paranoid, thinking that he would be sent to hell in a split second by a creature like Satan. Satan go closer and spoke
"You are a protector of this 'Son of God'.""What does it mean to you Devil" the Jade creature asked this with even more chill running down his spine.
"I came here to speak with the man himself but I suppose I will offer you something else, If you bow down, and worship me, will will make you king of all the land, you will be the leader of everything you could ever have wished to be, you can even have your tribe back."
When Satan mentioned his tribe, all the fear the Jade creature had built up turned into blind rage, he picked up his spear and threw it as hard as he could at him. Satan caught the spear and broke it, but as he looked back at the Jade creature he was jumped at by him and before he knew it, he was on the ground being choked by the Jade creature. The Jade creature saw him suffer and saw his face as he begged for his life, although the Jade creature knew that Satan was not a living being, he still kept choking him with the hopes of destroying him. Satan all of a sudden started laughing and he stood up as if the Jade creature wasn't holding him at all. He threw the Jade creature to the ground and confirmed that he was dead and you can't kill what doesn't live. The Jade creature stood up and breathed heavily in exhaustion, Satan hovering above him.
"You will never convince me, I am not as stupid as you think, the world will never submit to your rule, even if I'm dead." Yelled the Jade creature.
"Very well, then this is the last you will ever hear from me, because of this and what you have done today, I can give you one thing."Satan raised his hand and the Jade creature was surrounded by hell fire, and Satan recited these words.
"May you never feel the sweet release of death, and may you never be reunited with your family."
The Jade Creature begged for Satan to stop but he wouldn't give in, until all of a sudden all of the hellfire disappeared and Satan was nowhere to be seen. All of the Jade creatures hope was lost, he was doomed to the earth, and he would never be able to see his tribe again. Everything he had fought for went to waste.
