The Jade Creature

Chapter 23 - The Gift

A huge beast jumped at the Jade creature, with haste he jumped to the side at the beast ran into the wall. The beast was hideous, it was drooling out of its bottomless mouth through its broken deteriorating teeth, it was absolutely gigantic, it had 5 legs and one that was missing and had a tail that was on fire.

"What are you." The Jade creature asked himself as the beast jumped at him again. He was thinking as fast as he could to figure out a way to stop the beast in its tracks. It ran it him again, but this time the Jade creature jumped onto its face and climbed on top of its head, as the beast ran from side to side trying to get him off, he gathered all his strength, and with both of his arms he hit the top of its head with everything he had, knocking it down unconscious. The Jade creature didn't know if the beast was dead, he just knew that it was down for now.

The Jade creature then lit another torch and kept running towards the light, he ran for 2 minutes as the light kept getting bigger, then all of a sudden.....An incredibly bright light started shining, so bright the Jade creature couldn't see properly, it then died down and presented him with something.

"The mighty Jade creature, we give you this, something to help you save humanity from destruction, you will need it." Said the voice which sounded like a young woman, a goddess of some sort, that wanted to help the Kade creature save humanity. The Jade creature was confused, but he did not decline this gift he was  given.

And incredible spear, made out of the same substance as his Jade form, solid and unbreakable, worthy to be used by the Jade creature, a spike sharper than anything ever forged. It needed a name, a name that would suit a weapon of this caliber, a name that would strike fear into those that heard it..........
Cadaver, yes, a mighty name meaning dead body, it would tell the enemy that they were messing with the wrong man, the Jade creatures arsenal was finally complete.

He picked up this weapon and the light disappeared , the spear glowed in the dark and lead the Jade creatures way through the cave. It guided him, and took him to the exit which he had been searching for. When he was in the open he looked at the weapon one more time.

"You will be my tool in victory, a fine duo we will make." The Jade creature said to the spear onomatopoeically, knowing that this would be his permanent weapon.

The Jade creature knew where he was, he wasn't too far away from the transport area, he had finished his mission and was ready to return to the base. He walked back and waits for the vehicle to arrive. He solider looked out of his window and spoke to the Jade creature.

"How did your mission go sir?" The solider asked.

"Very well my friend, very well." The Jade creature answered with a smile on his face as he sat in the car.

"You look like you enjoyed it indeed." The solider added as he began to drive.

"I did, I finally found a new friend." The Jade creature joked as he showed the solider his spear to the solider.

"Oh my god!!" The soldier shouted as the Jade creature started laughing.

All that was left was to see what the thing could do......
