Problematic {MC x 707} {Spy AU}

Chapter 10- Upwards and Onwards, Boys

She woke up to a text from Seven and a new chat open. She opened the message:

707: I don't know what you did, MC, but please don't do it again. I'm not going to ask what happened, but I just want you to keep yourself (and others) safe.

"Does he think I hired someone?" She asked herself, slightly annoyed. "Oh well. At least things are going to cool down from here."

Then, she opened the chatroom.

707: I figured out the hacker situation :)) No need to worry! S'all good!

It was a complete personality change. This put her off slightly, but she decided to ignore it. At least he wasn't worried anymore.

I told you it would all be okay ;)

Yoosung: And when'd you say that?

I eluded to it~

Yoosung: You can't just lie like that

What do you mean?

Yoosung: All you've done is either lie or underestimate me. I'm not a child, I don't need to be taken care of!

Yoosung: Seven, why is she even still here?

707: Uh,, she's helping us with the party? I thought you would be excited?

Yoosung: Apparently not.

Yoosung: I have to go. MC, don't talk to me anymore.

And he left. MC stared at her screen for a moment, shocked. Where did that come from?

707: Well, I guess not everything is good then;;

Have I been that bad?

707: Idk, I didn't notice anything

Liar, literally yesterday they were both fuming at the thought of each other.

Well, I guess I should go, too. I have work.

707: Have a good day~

She locked her phone and made her way to the bathroom so she could get ready. As she was washing her face, her phone started buzzing. She dried off a hand and grabbed it, looking at who was calling.

"Oh, hey Jumin." She said as she continued getting ready, although sans right hand.

"Hello. I realized recently that I haven't heard your voice yet."

She thought about it briefly. "Yeah, I guess so. Is my voice nice?"

"Hm. I don't usually think about things like that, but I suppose your voice is pleasant."

"I'll take that as a compliment."

"How are you?"

"Well, I actually have work today so I'm just getting ready right now."

"Hm. I'm already at work."

"That means Jaehee is also there?" She deduced.

"Yes. She is my secretary."

"Yeah, I know... What exactly does being a secretary entail? I mean, you see them everywhere but you never really know what they do, yeah?"

"Well," He answered, "She keeps track of my schedule, and she transfers paperwork for me... And she also does odd jobs here and there, like making lists or organizing projects for me."

"Organising projects?" MC repeated. "That doesn't seem like an odd job."

"Well, she's used to it by now."

"Is she? How often do you make her do projects?" She thought back to one of the first days she was in the RFA, Jaehee telling her about the countless cat projects.

"Hm... I've had three new ideas in the past month."

MC was silent for a moment. "And how many of these has caused her to work late?"

Jumin sighed. "I have to go. I didn't call you to get criticized. Bye."

And he hung up. MC sighed, then put down her phone. She cleaned the soap off her face, then walked out in search of clean work clothes. As she dug through her bag, her phone buzzed again. That better not be Jumin saying he's going to contact a lawyer because if it is-

Nope, it's a text from Jaehee.

Jaehee: I assume you were just talking with Jumin about me?

Yeah. He didn't like me standing up for you.

Jaehee: Well, I appreciate it. Whether he takes your advice or not.

Don't let him threaten to sue me, please.

Jaehee: I won't :)

Mc smiled to herself and put her phone in her pocket. She was ready for work at this point, but she still needed to eat. Not only would she feel bad after not eating, she knew that the members of the RFA would feel bad, too.

... Maybe not Yoosung.

She quickly ate a bagel, then headed out the door. Life wasn't perfect yet, but it seemed to be falling back into place. MC was very happy about that.

... Especially the fact that her crush wasn't mad at her anymore.
