[A/N: I had to do a little guessing about the Mint Eye's location so idk if this info is %100 accurate- whatever tho it makes for a cool scene lol]

After a long time, he finally loosened his grip and looked over at the man. MC looked as well.

"... He's still breathing." She murmured.

"I've finally realized where I know him from." Seven said, seemingly not acknowledging what she said. "You know who that is?"

"A black-hat hacker? A motiveless criminal? A man who wants us both dead?"

"... My brother." Seven admitted.

MC looked at Seven, shocked. "Your brother?"

"I- I haven't seen him in years." He elaborated.

"Why would he want to hurt you so badly?" She asked quietly.

"I promised I wouldn't leave him... And I guess it's been too long." He chuckled softly, though it wasn't because he was happy.

They sat in silence for a moment.

"Can I say something?" MC asked softly.

"Yeah, go ahead." Seven let go of her and made eye contact. She couldn't help but a little empty without him.

"I'm uh..." She looked down and nervously played with her hair." I'm sorry for punching you a week ago."

Seven looked confused for a moment, but then it finally clicked. "That was you!?"

She nodded. "You're not going to report me, right? I'm already battling an epic shitload of paperwork."

He smiled and shook his head. "Well, I'd punch you if I needed to."

"I'm honored." She joked back.

Just then, they started hearing voices yelling underneath them. They both frantically started looking for ways to get out, suddenly letting how long they had been embracing hit them. MC pointed to the window.

"Didn't you just almost get thrown out of that?" Seven pointed out, "That'll kill us."

She shook her head, then looked down. There were multiple ledges and windowsills underneath leading downwards.

"If we climb we won't." She said, pointing out a path. "Just don't fall."

She winked at him, then swung her legs over and started climbing. Seven followed her, watching her every move. It was tedious, but not hard. Nothing compared to free-soloing. She almost slipped once, but she quickly caught herself, then warned Seven of the problem.

She jumped off the last ledge and hit the ground, quickly followed by Seven. "We have to go."

"This way!" Seven grabbed her hand and started running down the road. She didn't complain, she was going to do the same thing. It was a strange feeling to run like that with him; a mix of liberation and fear. The joy she felt to be with him was battling the almost-overpowering feeling of being followed.

The road turned and the edge of a cliff was exposed, showing a city far beneath them. It was far away, but beautiful against the sunset. Had it been that long?

"Just a little further, MC! We have to make sure they're not following us!" Seven exclaimed. MC nodded in response, not slowing down. Her lungs started to sting, but she couldn't stop running. Who knows what would happen if she stopped now.

She tried to take her mind off it by watching the sunset. It was a beautiful golden color and seemingly spread across the entire world. All she could see was touched by the glow of the sun, and she couldn't feel more helpless. She turned to face Seven. He was just as golden. She couldn't help but smile. He turned to face her and smiled back.

"Oh, there! We can stop there!" MC pointed out where the road turned to pavement and overlooked a ledge in a cliff. They could climb down and sit against the wall, they would be practically invisible there.

"Yeah!" Seven agreed, "Lead the way!"
